I told him he had "telly nerves" , but he reckons he hasn't. He has won a lot of big non-televised events. With the number one seed, Wilson gone, and number two Norris not really impressing in his first round, it could be anyone's year.

I'm just watching an old mate of mine playing, Gary Robson. I thought back then he would definitely become world champion some day. His darts were top class back then, but he seems to have stood still while those around him improved. 14 appearences in the the finals and 3 quarter finals, I don't know if he still has it to win, but I'm supporting him.

If the BDO allowed the PDC players to join and be part of their world championship, it would be a more legitimate claim to be THE world championship. It would also help the BDO players to raise their game and still keep the grass roots and county darts going, perhaps even making them stronger. The situation as it is works against the BDO; once a player reaches a certain level, they are seduced by the money and fame of the PDC, and are lost to county darts and the BDO. Boxing has, what, four governing bodies, each with world champions. These champions regularly fight each other in unifying bouts. Darts has two governing bodies, but the BDO refuse to sanction a unifying match and threatens to ban any of there players who play against PDC players. It would make sense financially for it to happen, but Olly Croft still bears a grudge and a hatred of the breakaway players who went on to form the PDC.

It's not slagging,it's fact. Why should I not watch it ? I enjoy watching , but maybe if they didn't call it "world champion", or at least agreed to have a unifying match as the PDC has suggested it would be better.

I'm watching the Wilson/Sajwani game right now, and 20/25 dart games in the televised rounds of a "World Championship " are frankly pathetic, and this is from the number one seed. Even the commentators sound embarrassed.

You may not agree, mate, but darts , I think, is very much like a sport close to your heart; boxing! It's two men , toe to toe, fighting out for a prize.... That prize is WINNING ! I'd guess that world champion chess players have the same feeling, it's all about being the best, runners, jumpers, throwers, whatever, if you are the best in what you do..... There can be no better feeling !

"Scrappy" ? Two of the best players ever, playing out a 6-5 final with over 30 180's !! Were you watching the same match ? In all fairness Anderson did say himself it was a scrappy game........i think he probably meant in terms of the amounts of missed doubles.......both players averages were up and down every set. Gnash , I've been watching the BDO "World Championship" on BBC and Bt , and to see 70 and averages makes a mockery of darts. The PDC is so far in front it's unbelievable ! To call this final "Scrappy" is insane. The level of darts now is something old aquaintences of mine li

Just got back from my nephews house. He had a bet on over 25 180's, that paid off, he had a bet on a nine dart game in the final, Taylor let him down on double 12, he also had Anderson to win, so all in all he did well ! I had a couple of bottles of wine, enjoyed a great game of darts and a lift home, so a great night was had !

Why would you think that ,Max? Ashley made it clear to Pardew that cups were not a priority, and the previous three attempt were loses to Brighton, Cardiff , Brighton , with Pardew fielding weakened teams. This was just Carver following on from Pardew and toe-ing the Ashley line. Seven changes, only one of them forced, (Taylor), and playing kids with no first team experience. Before Pardew left, he said he was going for four points from the last two league games, that's what happened without him, and I'd expect today's result to be exactly the same if he was here or not.

Used to see quite a few circling over the Tyne near Ryton, from the breed and release programme from a few years ago, but then they seemed to disappear, but only two days ago I saw four circling above the fields near Throckley, on the other side of the river. Good to see them back.

Brookie, evidently she was 15 when she was first groomed by Epstein. Scottish police are investigating Katie Hopkins, (some idiot non-celebrity), for tweeting the word "Jock" about Scottish People, after receiving a number of complaints. Have we finally reached the point where the UK has gone mad ? I've ALLWAYS called Scots "Jock" and it was ALLWAYS meant and thought of as a friendly term. Surely the police have better things to do than respond to professionally outraged left wing idiots. Does this mean I can't call my Irish pals "Paddy" or my welsh mates "Taff" anymore ? Scouser, Geordie, Cockney, are they all racist words as well ?

She was 17, Lab, that's considered a minor in the states. There's also laws against transporting minors across state lines and abroad for sex. She claims she was in two different states and the UK. Epstein has already served a jail sentence, and settled out of court with others, but this lass and another want their day in court, and have mentioned Andy in their statements.
