  1. You raise an intelligent and deep question here, well played. How do we know that vegetables don't feel pain or get a bit sad when we eat them?? I have tried quorn, it really isn't for me but I have stomached a spicy veggie burger twice when there was nothing else but I don't really know what tofu is made of. I think it is made from soy beans or something else that requires a million acres of rainforest to be torn down to make room for. Once we stop cows from farting there won't be much of an argument for going veggie or vegan, but I appreciate that you need really passionate people to sta
  2. I know this sounds daft, but I can't think of many things a vegan can survive on. The biggest hurdle I have been struggling with for most of my life is what they put in their sandwiches, what is there apart from jam or salad? With no f*****g butter, that is the problem I am finding the challenge, no butter at all involved. I have never tried tofu, so maybe that can be made to taste like anything but I am still not picturing a enough to keep someone sane. Any guesses? Also, what is the best sandwich possible? I struggle to beat egg & bacon but hog roast is the best for me if that count

A bloke I used to know married a veggie...for some reason told her that he'll also become a veggie, but every week went round to his mums for a meal and she cooked him steak. He's been married to her for 13 years and has kept up the pretence for all that time that he's a veggie.....what a spineless twat!
  4. To be fair that is only a small minority of nutjobs, not all muslims are dedicated to being evil pricks. However all muslims treat women as second rate, eat meat only if it bleeds to death and a large number class non-muslims as the enemy, or at least not worthy of their respect. I have similar issues with Christians, I find all of these fundamentalist irrational people very untustworthy when they believe they are God's special little people and they will go to heaven if they do whatever he wants them to do. It is a shame they believe they are being told by a deity to be so hateful and murdero

I prefer vegetarians to the the hypocrites who say it is wrong to kill an animal, but still eat battery eggs, KFC and any meat from a supermarket. I always make an effort to make sure I buy British meat and free range or from a farm shop, I have no problem with eating animals (obviously) but I think they deserve a natural life before becoming delicious. I can't be doing with Danish bacon from sow stalls or intensive farming, especially for clever chaps like pigs that bite each others tails off and generally have a bad day everyday when they can't forage around. But, even worse are the self-ri
  6. america is a big place to generalise. some places you cant walk through without getting shot or threatened by gangs. I was in San Francisco in January and it was definitely mixed up, one street can look really smart with gucci shops etc, go on street down and it is crawling with smackheads screaming at the walls. I got a bit lost looking for my colleagues at an 'Irish bar' and ended up walking about at night on my todd, I am not exactly danger mouse so I didn't feel particularly safe. It wasn't so much I thought I was going to be mugged by a scary gang man, it was just how crazy the hoard
  7. I saw a video in school that showed those, so this has been known of for a long time but nobody cares. We had to study the one child policy and like the article says if the baby wasn't allowed, or even sicker if it was the wrong sex then they put them in giant cold rooms with the other dead babies. They just leave them there to die of the cold, no idea how long it takes but everyone knows about it and like I said, don't give a f**k. it just beggars belief!!!!! I've never heard of that before, I'm truly lost for words!! It isn't something that generally comes up in conversation so m
  8. When has anyone chased a fox down a dual carriageway? Nevermind on purpose, they hunt in the country and are in fields for 99% of the hunt and cross small roads around villages. Anyway I think the point is more the attitude of doing whatever the f**k you want with no regard for other people, than the actual horse racing itself. no your just a racist admit it How am I being racist, I said it's daft to ride a horse on a motorway and I couldn't give a shit who is sat on it. I don't get what you are on about. Your not being racist, at all. The race card is just being used as a way
  9. that's up there with the dog that balances on the chain, I don't think we are getting the most out of dogs sometimes
  10. Just look at the difference in his body language though, he clearly wants a reaction from the first one and acts threatening and is relaxed in the non-trained. It would be pointless having a dog that didn't know wheat was a threat and to me he didn't act like a threat. But that being said I agree most dogs won't protect their owners, but I also think that a well bred protection dog would protect on instinct if his owner was attacked, but would probably wait much longer than one that has been conditioned.

  12. Someone offer to trade for a calculator and a condom: "14 week old miniture whippet for sale. blue eyes fawn and white in colour. expecting a new baby in 3 weeks time and she needs more attention and i will have my hands full." So she was 4-5 months pregnant before getting a puppy then bins it later on...

    Mink.

I never see them either, but I haven't searched for them. Good luck finding them I would be interested in how you get on, but I wouldn't slip a hawk on a mink you are asking for trouble
  14. I love ostrich, there is a good butcher in Lincoln that does a good price on Ostrich steaks. Hard to cook right as they have no fat, but if you are lucky then I swear its nicer than beef.

  16. Exactly, a lot is taken for granted and certainly by myself. I never fully appreciated how amazing fresh water from a tap is, or a flushing toilet until having to do without. But it's only when comparing to where else would be a better place to live that the UK seems to be pretty good indeed. I couldn't even live in America, with no NHS, religious nutjobs and lack of education.
  17. an the dole fuckn great Interesting opinion, isn't there anything else that makes you want to stay?

  19. It's not a competition (that you can win anyway ) I like the countryside, freedom to live how I want (maybe less hunting rights but compared to other countries, pretty tidy) fish and chips in every village and the fact we are a speck on the map that has produced some of the finest human beings the world has seen. There is a lot to be proud of in the UK, it just gets overshadowed too often.
  20. I think people are complaining about them being protected because they are Asian, firstly not arrested, then the press hid the whole thing (40 odd asians arrested at last), now being tried seperately and then said it wasn't racially motivated. No-one is saying 'I lived opposite that kebab shop and saw it happening and couldn't do anything'. I knew it was going on in my own town not far from Bradford, but what could I do when I was outnumbered 10-1 by people who hated me and stuck together and I never associated with them? I can also tell you that the mosque in Keighley preaches hatred to non-m
  21. Doesn't that seem like something only a selfish mong would do? What's so important about getting dragged along by a horse that you can hold up people going to hospital, work or just wanting to get home? What's wrong with an old runway or something? horse has as much right on the road as anybody driving a car I don't think so, nor does a car driving 30mph on a motorway have any reason being there. If your horse can keep up with the traffic and is as reliable as a car then it wouldn't be a problem to anyone. But horses are skittish and slow buggers, the only time they should be on a road
  22. As the title says, what are the things about the UK (or Ireland) that you love the most? Please no moaning, only good things
  23. maybe JUST FECKIN MAYBE you shouldnt have been on the road racing ................fucks sake them days are well past me now pal ,i was around 16 at the time i know better now but as i said the fcuker could of killed us both , Personally I applaud him, more coppers need to do their jobs and stop letting people take the piss. If you die on racing a horse on a motorway then you won't find sympathy in many places will you?

    Quail

I bought some by mistake before at an autction, no-one was bidding so I raised my hand for 50p to get things going and won. So I had 12 little japanese quails for 50p, which I kept for a while and fed to my hawk. I did feel bad though they are funny and cute little buggers.
