    Even I can remember walking around streets with an air rifle, taking out the odd pigeon and no-one batting an eyelid.     This stuff does happen, but it has never escalated too bad with me. The worst for me was when I was walking my dog (male rotty) off lead and he looked intensely at another dog that was bounding across a field that turned out to be an akita, so I put him on a lead as he clearly saw something dodgy. If they are as accurate as a slingshot can be then i suppose they would have a pretty impressive range too actually, I just assumed that it would spin in odd directions etc and go off after 40-50 yards.

    I am interested in getting a second hand crossbow but came across this when searching http://www.taloncrossbows.com/# . I have never heard of a crossbow that can fire BB's before and apparently this is legal in the UK, which sounds like fun. I can't imagine it being accurate over a longer range than a 12ft/lb air rifle though so it is probably a bit pointless but they could be good

    I need more practice, the best I have done so far is scare a squirrel, but it is the first time I have come across what can only be described as a kamakazi attack.
