I dropped one of them on the spot and the other swam the river, I couldnt believe what I saw , the river is about 50 yards wide and in full flow . The deer was swept about 100 yards downstream before it managed to emerge on the other riverbank. Any
  6. I phoned Ratcherman last night to have a look out as I needed some rabbits to feed the dog. He brought along his .243 just in case we saw charlie. Anyway there was no rabbits about at all I only shot 2 but we did get a bonus. I spied Charles peeping out of some cover so I gave her a call and managed to coax a vixen from her hiding place. Ratcherman duly released a round and that was us happy.

  21. Last night saw us doing one of my farms that I have only lamped once this year. Standing below a gorse covered bank the call was switched on and immediately 2 sets of eyes appeared. Nothing came so we left the call on for about 10 mins before eventually I spotted a fox creeping along side the edge of the cover. It slowly emerged into the field but fled straight away , I gave it a holler and Ratcherman dropped it at 120 yds. We then proceeded to lamp towards the far end of the farm. Once again the call was played and another fox came within a minute and was dispatched. We then went back
