    Out again yesterday afternoon culling on my mates spot. I spied a buck around 4pm a long way off and hatched a plan to see if we could catch up with him. Anyway after a great , rewarding long stalk we were eventually around 120 yds away , up on sticks and my mate took him. Carried on and later on in the evening came across another 4 pointer. All the bucks we have shot on this ground have poor antler quality so we are hitting them hard to weed out the rubbish. There are far too many bucks on the ground which I think is the reason the quality is poor..rubbish breeds rubbish.

    Yep clean as in rubbed off their velvet. Muntjac can be very tough to skin, lucky you have them , wish I had access to some.

    Great shooting. Out of interest what was the holdover for 258 yards?

    Lucky you ...we are a bit barren up here relative to the South.

    They are in Durham around Sedgefield, Wynyard and Darlington. I have personally seen 1 at Sedgefield and was there when 1 was shot at Wynyard. Never seen any in Northumberland. Did see a pic of 1 a lad found run over near Prudhoe. Who knows who has released any but the Durham population originated from lurcher lads catching then down South and releasing up North.

    They are in Hulme park at Alnwick and a small population somewhere out the back of Otterburn ranges ..cant remember the name of the place. I know of a guy who has shot them. I have shot them in the park.

    Used to be heaving along the side of the A69 with rabbits but sadly hardly see any now. Haltwhistle used to be alive with rabbits had some great days and nights there.

    Yes theres a few in there but nothing compared to ground down South.

    Surprised hes never been nabbed being near Longbenton ?

    Always the way , I once had to deal with a lamb killer , it had killed over 20 in a week. When I eventually caught up with her it was the smallest vixen I have ever seen.
