  1. But But theres no inbetween is there not? If a dog works close, as it should, it'll get marked.....unless you're happy having to trench earths or you season is March to May....
  2. Pleased I bought mine 2nd hand, sold it straight on. Theres some decent terrier books but Broadhursts wasn't one of them, tbh I expected more to his book than a question & answer session.....shame
  3. So are you saying they haven't seen much graft or they are bayers? Also why not post the photos on here when you went to the trouble of putting them on Preloved?
  4. Just run the engine as it should be, the fumes are more than adequate for bolting rats
  5. Absolutely ridiculous aint it? The price is allegedly so high to deter the peddlars but the higher pricing for bitch pups is a peddlars trait.....
  6. Someone who breeds multiple litters to sell at the same time would obviously agree.....Are you trying to say ive bred multiple litters or something? IM no peddler pal. Like ive said previously good home is far more important to me than the money.shaunNo mate the other fella
  7. Someone who breeds multiple litters to sell at the same time would obviously agree.....
  8. Theres no f***ing way would RSPCA put marked up dogs up for rehoming, they'll pts & thats the end of it
  9. Is this the place folk can sell dogs for silly money without getting grief? Do you need to be a donator to sell via the classifieds....seems the perfect place to peddle. Just curious
  10. & heres me thinking chocolate terriers should be proven by 12weeks old...,
  11. Why the f**k would anyone pay silly money for a dog to walk round a ring for the chance of winning a rosette? Each to their own but its like watching paint dry....
  12. Tried one once & the crows wouldn't give it a 2nd glance
  13. Mate can get some 7.5's cheap, would they be ok for decoying? If so would a tight choke pattern work better? Using 6's at the minute & yesterday I was struggling to hit a fooking barn door whilst the pigeons came in perfectly a few at a time all day..... If I'm gonna keep up my fresh air kill/cartridge ratio I think I'm gonna have to find a cheaper option
  14. Used to enjoy reading RD's articles more than his dads tbh. Seen some nice dogs from their breeding, mate had asked to use one of their dogs over his russell bitch but TD refused saying there was already plenty of good dogs already out of 'Pepper' I think, if thats the dog that went missing
  15. I'm considering getting my first gundog as my mates lab is useless, not her fault but him not putting enough time into her. Having a dog whine all day in a hide is just too much to take. Next seaon we'll be shooting more game including big expanses of arable for partridge & loads of open rough fields, hedgerows etc for pheasant. Wondered if an HPR breed would suit me better if its also able to retrieve pigeons in a hide. Any suggestions?
  16. What size is he willow? He looks tiny
  17. Stop walking her where there are rabbits, by the sounds of it you are wanting her to catch. Concentrate on basic obedience/retrieving & wait until Autumn.....you'll not regret it
  18. "Our latest litter from unworked parents".....wonder how many mugs have paid the money?
  19. I had a deaf lurcher that retrieved, it was a collie cross. Retrieving was a game & it came naturally to her. Not sure about a spaniel but might be worth a shot, my lurchers recall was a wave of the arm but would depend on her looking lol
  20. I just think these shitbag peddlars should be named & shamed.....even better when they're THL members
