My brothers labrador had the very same think last week - lost his hair on a patch about the size of a credit card. Turned out his anal glands were blocked and he had been trying to get at them - couldnt reach so started scratching the nearest bit. Could be that? FTB

Not any more my friend, we have a Conservative & Liberal alliance in power now, f**k knows how that's going to turn out. It's like trying to mate a dog with a cat. The most left wing party & the most right wing party together in a new government. Funny how a shot at power can suddenly alter your long held, supposedly steadfast political views.... good point mate you see tons of birds at shows walking round with lurchers and terriers but how many do you see in the winter ferreting lamping digging etc To be fair though Nora, how many of the lads who go to shows do you see in the winter ferreting, lamping, digging etc FTB

Collie X but im not adverse to a bit of terrier(wheaton,beddy,old type kerry blue etc). Mine are more allround for all game - but if I needed one for that specific job I would consider a racy bull X. NO! There are shit loads of lurchers about - go to any show and see how many arent working - why add to the problem so you can say you have pups? Dont know what the fascination is with breeding litters - they will cost you money, there loads of work etc FFS get a job if you have too much spare time (joke) FTB

I'm with foxgun Tom on this one. Was a great show at Nielston with some decent lads turning out. Nielston is the only 'working' terrier show I ever attend. And as for the ladies toilet situation, entry fee was £1 - what do you expect. I was with a lass all day and she never said it was an issue. FTB

If you were on a shooting estate common sense would stipulate you should have asked the landowner or gamekeeper if there were any snares or traps on his land. Rights of way laws grant you use for responsible access - not the right to have dogs roaming free near livestock/gamebirds/sensitive areas etc. If your dog had came to any harm, you would be liable not the estate. FTB
