  1. You really have issues, mate!! Where the hell did you dig that up from, I'll have that sodding gingle rattling through my head for ages now!!!
  2. On full beam on minimum spread an easy 100 or so yards for spotting, then I turn down the beam strength and it's ideal for airgun ranges It's very light and comfy to wear and the batteries last very well too. I'm probably the only bloke on here who still uses a head torch though!!
  3. If you're after a decent reasonably cheap lamp, WB, have you considered a head torch?? I use a Led Lenser H7 and I really rate it, about £40 from ebay. Cheers.
  4. Carrots are no good, Davy. I've tried them and each time I tried to clamp them up they broke, I fear the build quality isn't up to much
  5. cool i should be up by 3:58am ok buddy I'll get the kettle on and set the alarm
  6. That'd be great if it comes off, Davy!! Ring me any time, mate
  7. Ken..... Ken...? KEN?????? I hope Ken and your good self have a long and meaningful relationship together, Mole!!! Shoot 'em up hard and lube your ammo, mate, otherwise Ken's 'breach' may well be left chaffed and sore and we wouldn't want that now, would we??!! Edit to add... I've seen rabbits slip into dykes before too. Man them were the days, party memmories I'll never forget!!!! Oops.. Wrong forum.....
  8. You've a good point there, mate, sometimes a misplaced sence of nostalgia does up the price far beyond what something's really worth. Do a search on BBS or Gun Trader and see what comes up... Good luck!!
  9. Thanks, Dom. The more I think about it, the more I feel sorry for the guy with the dog. I've never owned a dog myself but I grew up with friends lurchers and terriers and I know what they can be like when they've a mind to Yup, I'm very happy it was nothing more than a bad batch of ammo, after the luck I seem to be having of late I was convinced it couldn't be that simple. I'll stick to the Baracudas with the 90 from now on, they really do fly well in .20. Cheers
  10. Yeah, it's not a bad part of the world. If you find yourself over this way give me a shout, I'm sure we can get out one way or another Cheers.
  11. That looks like a Taurus, mate, not a Tornado. The Tornado was an underlever.... Price wise I've no idea, they were a proper bargain basement gun, cheap as chips when new a bit like those bottom end far eastern guns on the market now ie. shite Chances are the scope's worth more than the rifle. What scope is it and is it OK? Cheers.
  12. I really do know what you mean about lurchers, mate, they can be rather.... erm.... willful Thinking about it I maybe was a bit harsh refering to the bloke as a 'twat'. I kind of feel a bit sorry for him in a way, I could hear him calling for his dog for ages before I saw it and TBH I think if the deer had turned on it, they'd have had it good and proper, it really was a scrawny looking dog!! Thanks for the comment. Cheers
  13. Thanks, Steve The first pic shows my first vantage point overlooking the sitty trees. The ground below them is littered with bird and rabbit droppings, so it' does look like a good spot. Second pic shows Simon strikeing a pose with his 77 before he got settled down to wait. Third shows the padock and the fourth is the spot I chose overlooking a warren while the fifth is the tree root where the shrews kept on popping out from. I tried for ages to get them on the camera but failed badly!! The sixth is the view down the valley towards the river. This was directly behind where I
  14. Nicely done, Steve, I'll pull them off the camera now and send them to you. Cheers
  15. Hi, folks. Can we get a chicken?? Pardon?? That was the first request of the day which for a couple of blokes with aiguns is an odd one. So off we went to Asda for Mrs Simon (Jo) so she could cook Sunday dinner. As it turned out, Asda was chickenless so Simon gave Jo her money back and we went shooting When we first arrived at Simon's shoot, the weather wasn't looking too good, a bit breezy with the odd spot of rain in the air. First order of the day was a zero check and to make sure my 90 and it's Walther scope were indeed nothing to do with the problems I'd had last time out. I'd
  16. Hi, mate and welcome to the forum Bullet size and weight aside it's not just a case of one bullet being different to the other, the HMR round is based on the Winchester R/F Magnum case which is a fair bit bigger than a normal .22 L/R one and so holds a good bit more powder, hence the higher energy from the .17 bullet. Cheers.
  17. I'll give it two weeks before it ends up in the classifides....
  18. your mad matey but who owns a different rifle and is a wanker.............to be continued lol atb steve Could be those who shoot C02? Or may be not could well be or gas ram Then I'll put my hands up to being the biggest WANKER on this forum!!!!! I use both!!!! Please feel very free to keep your opinions to yourselves.....
  19. I forgot what forum I was on when I saw spit roast...
  20. Nicely done, mate!! The first of many, no doubt
  21. Diana 48/52, or 54 if you can find one. They do weigh a bit but they are the best springers for FAC Edit to add... They are built to make a lot more power than we can have legally in the UK, so it's very easy to make them do what they're ment to do with an FAC. Around 22 in .177 and close to 30 in .22 without any further modifications. A very nice platform if you have a slot on your FAC Cheers.
  22. When my eldest was about three, I used to read him a bedtime story called "The Very Bad Rabbit". It was about this bunny with a bad attitude that went around giving the other woodland creatures grief.... Anyway, one day I was gutting some rabbits in the back yard when Oscar apeared at the kitchen door with a very worried look on his face and he said... "Daddy, you do only shoot bad rabbits, don't you??" "Yes, Oscar. Only bad ones..."
  23. I've been over to Simon's again today and set the gun up with Baracuds with no problems at all so it can only have been a bad batch of ammo. I used my Walther scope that was our first suspect before and it's fine, which is a relief 'cos I really can't afford a new one right now. Thanks for the offer, Bob, that was very kind of you but having slept on it I think I'll pass, I've really lost faith in the Dynamics now and don't want any more. Cheers.
