  1. Well done, Davy, and to all who attended That's cash that's going to a very worthy cause. Can the next one be a little closer to us poor, impoverished, northern, flat cap folks, please?? I've missed the last two due to a lack of funds. The gold plating needs re doing on my Veyron, so I couldn't possibly be seen in public before it's done
  2. blimey andy, you shoot those extreme distances with simon on x6?!! hat off to you mate, thats some sort of shooting cheers, wurz Thanks, Wurz. My Diana wears a JSR 2-7x32 with a basic generic mil dot and my 90's got a Simmons 8 Point1.5-5x32, plain old 30-30. Thery're perfect for what I need them for but as I said above, each to their own When I get the old Diana up and running again, it'll be topped off with an old Nikko 6x40 that I dug out a while back. I'd forgotten I had it!!
  3. It's just round the corner, now stop fighting in the back!!
  4. Reading some of the above shows why I prefer a fixed mag scope but there's very little available for airguns these days. IMO something like a 6x40something is perfect for airgun hunting and why my variable mag scopes hardly ever change from around 6 or 7. Each to their own though, mag is largely personal choice.
  5. When they said 'bannana or a smack', are you sure they weren't asking if they were hungry or wanted drugs??
  6. I've never had anything to do with the Umarex but I do use Co2 sometimes and I wouldn't recomend it for field use with winter just around the corner. The problem is that when it starts to get to around 5'c and below the power drops away very sharply. Fine in summer though once you've got to know the quirks that go with Co2.
  7. My mum was normally too pissed to say anything that made much sense.
  8. It's the way of the UK sadly, Benji. It's all gone to shit, mate.

  10. f**k me, how much is it worth to them? 40 quid? i couldn't be arsed,,, but the price is greater for you to replace total c**ts There was another article in Tuesdays paper about a cat that'd been stolen from a mini bus owned by some charity. I've tried to find the link on the YEP's web site but no joy..... These shits have no shame
  11. I saw it, Jack. As has been said above, the guys risked his life and this is the thanks he gets. If it's not bad enough that our own government shafts them, some lowlife piece of shit who (as said) most likely knows the score goes and robs him and his Mrs and reading through some of the personal things that the robbing shites have taken is sick. What feckin' use is his old dog tag to someone FFS?? as for the dog tag, the poor twat kept it with his own blood on it, what will the scum do with it? my guess is that they will parade it in front of there scummy pals, c**ts, did you notice sh

Great thread!! Someone else on here who's as bad with technology as I am
  15. That's a beautiful looking stock you've got on there, Wurz. On looks alone they've really got the others beat I was doing some work on Pianoman's TX a little while ago and that's got a fantastic stock aswell. AA do a cracking job on wood selection, their attention to detail is generally spot on. Like I said earlier on this thread, out of the box they've got the edge over HWs IMO, but HWs have a little more potential after a bit of fettling.
  16. http://www.yorkshire...leeds_1_3769690 I read this in the local paper today........
  17. That's a good question Any hints??
  18. As Si's said, you either get on with them or you don't. For me they always seem to put my wrist (trigger hand) in an odd position, but many folks don't have a problem. Just try to handle some and see how they feel for you. Cheers.
  19. Reading some of the posts on this thread really makes me realise how lucky I am to have two healthy happy boys. I honestly can't say how I'd have reacted if I'd have found out that they had potential issues before birth, it's got to be the most heart breaking decission any would be parent can make and I've a huge amount of respect for those who have to cope with any kind of special needs kids. I remember seeing the documentary mentioned above and it litterally brought tears to my eyes, so very sad and has been mentioned many of those poor souls would probably be living fairly normal lives
