  1. The trouble is mate a lot of people think by it's a get rich quick idea to breed loads of Kitts they don't need just to make money. Which as any responsible keeper will know you will never get rich kitt peddling Kitts. I only breed for myself and close friends and if there is a couple left over I give them to people I think and hope will look after them. If you don't need any Kitts why breed ?? There are other ways of taking Jill's out of season without the country being flooded with unwanted Kitts that some will end up in with a life of misery. We see it year after year. Most keepers are re
  2. As they say a fool and his money are easily parted I find it hard to believe that any one with half a brain falls for this absolute cr*p
  3. yeah well said hopefully this kind jesture will go to a newbie that will make good use of it and they will last a bit more than the 5 minutes some of them do.I have done it myself given gear away to help people out that have fallen on hard times just to find out 4 weeks later they have sold the gear I gave them.
  4. I have just bought a falcon 22 air rifle 12IIB in power and without buying numerous tins of pellets wondered if anyone could suggest what grain pellet to try in it. I have got a FAC air arms 410 which throws out 35IIB and we use JBS 18 grain pellets in that which seem to be spot on but not sure about the falcon ?? I am a rimfire and shotgun man so my knowledge of air rifles is quite limited I would appreciate any advice thanks max HAPPY HUNTING
  5. Oh so true Kitts are like eating machines all the best with em
  6. I see so many great pics on this site that members send in of the days out ferreting that would make a fantastic calendar 12 of the best sent in photos picked by the administrators or members then made into a calendar sold at a reasonable price would be a good way for the hunting life to add funds to there site and give me something much more enjoyable to look at on the calendar than the usual kittens and puppy ones Mind you I don't mind the page 3 ones LOL Joking aside I for one would buy one and support a cause that we all love perusing our field sports. HAPPY HUNTING

Got a castrated hob in the court at the moment the niece wanted to keep him out the litter 2 yrs ago cos he was a pretty colour and to be honest he works well. we have had splayed Jill's castrated and vasectomised hobs over the many years we have been ferreting and found absolutely no difference in there working ability compared to complete Jill's and hobs

Armitalia 12g o/u shotgun for sale I aquired this gun when someone I know packed up shooting. it has the odd mark hear and there but for the price it's never going to be a purdey it is a side plate NOT side lock single trigger with quarter and full choke. 13. That's what makes it the great sport we all love mate it's so unpredictable you will have good days bad days wet days and cold days. Even hot days if you are working on a steep bank and the rabbits are running you about it don't take long to work up a sweat. Glad your 1st day turned out alright for you mate may you have many more. GOOD write and and pic well done
  14. Good for you mate hope you have some productive days out
  15. Yes as said we get more calls in the spring and early summer to control rabbits but as we don't do it for a living we put the ferreting off till late august and have a pop at a few with the rimfire to keep the new permissions happy till the ferreting season starts
  16. We got a call from the landowner from one of our biggest permissions he told us he had just driven round one of his fields to check the cattle and when he got back to the gate he could see a couple of ferrets walking about then he saw another one and another he picked up 6 in total all hobs 5 albino and 1 polecat they were all handle able and not in good nick they looked like they had been kept in filthy conditions he put them in a box in his pick up and asked us could we do something with them. In the time he had checked his animals some low life had stopped there car and just tipped them ou
  17. As said great photos and NO RAIN well done lads
  18. Great pics lads as I have said before it would be good if someone like the hunting life did a ferreting calendar I for one would happily buy one
  19. Have done paid jobs in gardens etc but it puts a completely different obligation on ferreting when someone is paying you. We tend to do most rabbiting jobs on a sporting agreement now much more enjoyable and not under any pressure to produce dozens of rabbits that some of the customers think they have eating there gardens when its normally 3 or 4 and they are normally coming in from surrounding farmland etc
  20. As said mate keep asking and when you get that 1st bit of land do a good job and keep the land owner happy once they get to know you and most importantly trust you other permissions will come flooding in GOOD LUCK
  21. Nice dogs and pics mate the pic of the hedge in the 3rd pic looks like one of the jumps at the grand national
