Well i thought in 30 yrs i had seen most things to do with ferreting but FROZEN rabbits bolting out of holes thats a new one on me if pembshunter wasant so green with envy he might be able to except that the JCR crew are a very good team of rabbiters and by watching there vids shows that iv been rabbiting for 30 odd years and acknowledge these guys are better than me but we are not here to say whos better than who we are hear coz we all enjoy doing the same sport so please grow up pembshunter we get enough aggro from the antis without giveing each other a Hard time KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

WE HAVE ALLWAYS USED FRONTLINE ON ALL OUR FERRETS SINCE IT CAME OUT AND NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM WITH ANY OF OUR FERRETS BUT AS ANDY s410 SAID IN HIS REPLY WE ALLWAYS SPRAY THE FRONTLINE ON SOME RUBBER GLOVES MARRIGOLDS OR THROW AWAY TYPE THEN RUB IT INTO THE FERRETS IT SENDS THEM A BIT CRAZY FOR 5 MINS THE USUAL WAR DANCE ETC WHEN YOU PUT THEM DOWN ON THE FLOOR BUT DO THIS TWICE A YEAR AND YOU WILL VERY RARELY SEE A FLEA OR TICK ON THEM

I HEAR LONGNETTERS SAY THAT THEY PREFERE TO SET THERE NETS AT THIS HIGHT AND SOME AT THAT HIGHT ETC ETC I PERSONALLY SET OURS AT ABOUT 2.5 FOOT AND THEY SEEM TO CATCH QUITE WELL WITH PLENTY OF BAGGING IN THE NETS I HAVE SEEN OTHERS SET THERES A LOT HIGHER AND OTHERS A LOT LOWER WITH ALSO GOOD CATCH RATES IS THERE A STANDARD RECONISED HIGHT FOR LONG NETS ? OR IS IT JUST A PERSONAL CHOICE DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER ETC ? WOULD BE INTERESTED TO HEAR YOUR VIEWS

we have in the past passed pockets of land on to other people whome obviously we trust with the landowners permission or course because we just havent got the time to do anything with it as thankfully we do allready have a lot of good ferreting land at the moment but depending what land you already have depends a great deal on what free time you have to go looking for any more ground ? we were offered to do a horse stud farm once all the horse paddocks etc but on further enquiries 1)we wasnt allowed to use guns 2)or long nets 3)or snares 4)or dogs 5)or do anything at night 6)or cle

hiya mate, we are from the south east and we started off the season (end of september) with an average of 40+ for the 1st 6 outings. then the bags increased to mid 50's, then a couple of 70's, three 90+ bags and then one big hit of 112 last week. today was season end with a tidy bag of 86, and we finnished just after lunch when we started bolting our first youngsters. other than that we had all good rabbits, no mixy!!! check out our vids on youtube, extreme ferreting, power ferreting, a days ferreting, ferreting the mega-warren and ferreting. we didnt film every outing but we got a few on tap

JUST WONDERED IF ANY OF YOU OTHER FERRETERS OVER DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE BRITISH ISLES ARE HAVING THE SAME LUCK COS QUITE OFTEN THIS TIME OF YEAR IT HAS BEEN KNOWN TO GO A BIT DEAD EVEN THE SNOW AINT STOPPED THEM THIS YEAR ANYONE ELSE HAVING THE SAME LUCK ?

Locators are for wimps and people with no field craft. Whoops, and pro rabbiters who do not have the time to wait for the ferrret and one that kills consitently cuts down on the time factor, by having a quick dig, after all that is what they are getting paid for. There my friend is the crux of the matter, pest control persons are paid to get results so they have to get them or go out of buisiness. When all you hobby ferreters (of which I am one) keep banging on about locators and you cannot leave home without one and a spade. Make me think, god for Feck sake learn some fieldcraft, then yo
