    Well ,its in May actually . But I think Manny wins with his speed ,dec or late stoppage. I would love to see Ricky do it but even with his improved mobility and defence I don't think he will. I was in Phuket when he fought Mayweather ,I watched the fight in the early morning in Molly Malone's beach road, I see a similar result .Hope I'm wrong.

    Women allways say this ,I reckon its a piece of cake.They just exaggerate,like when you come home and they say"Ive done three loads of washing today, well ,actually no you havent you put three loads into the machine and the machine did it. I once had to get a round in a pub , it was very traumatic , but I dont harp on it.

    Well mate, the rest of them on here are right , maybe a trifle harsh ,but I'm sure they are thinking of the pups welfare. Just bond with it for now ,and DO NOT DO ANY JUMPING, with it however small the obstacle ,its bones have not knitted yet ,you will f**k up its pasterns if you continue, plenty of time for that.Get it use to coming to call ,and gradually introduce a soft toy on a string ,as a teaser.Don't rush the first year is all about making the deposit in the bank to draw on for the future.ATB Inan.

    I use Drontal ,in fact Ive just ordered some more from Best Pet Pharmacy ,on line, they are about £1.80p each, and delivery is very prompt. £20 does my three lads. An excellent informed post from Skycat as per usual.Skycat does the research, and gets genned up before posting ,unlike many others!Top Marks!

    I just googled it up out of curiosity it can produce a whole host of side effects including anxietymthese were for humans ,but I suppose the results could be the same,I would check it out if I were you.

    Its always the worry with these dogs, but its what they love to do. I think i might get him some glasses, so he can see the trees next time! A good mate of mine had the litter brother to one of my dogs,it chased a bunny into an orchard ,hit a tree and broke its neck.So could be worse.You might be pleasantly surprised how good a recovery your best pal makes .     That's a great tip which not everyone is aware of P ,ie the main ingredient in the bag is allways first on the list .Must look for a supplier for chicken carcasses ,nearly out of Bunnies now.

    DO NOT FEED THE DOG BEFORE GOING OUT.This is a recipe for disaster you are inviting the dog to get a twisted gut ,[torsion] which is extremely painful and life threatening.Get the dog retreiving a fur dummy consistantly before taking it lamping.As to jumping I start with little jumps ,about 2 foot and gradually up the height, a narrow space helps where the dog is obliged to scale the obstacle to get to the other end.,The same principal works in retreiving ,a passage way or hallway is good throw the dummy and stand back to the door the dog must come back to you ,if it is still sticky about it

    sorry wrong choice of words, Why's it wrong choice of words ? i realise now shouldnt ov asked this question on hear,i just hoped id get some helpful replys When coursing was legal there were several whippet clubs.The little dogs are game and have underated stamina ,but the slips were reduced considerably to give the dogs a chance to get on terms with their quarry.Perhaps when the ban is overturned you might enjoy some sport?

    I agree the Cluson are more robustly made The light force beam is ok but their connections are crap.I like the walking light on the Cluson its very handy for gates and picking up stuff etc you can get a dimmer on the more recent Light force but its extra money, for what should be standard ,IMO.

    I have a set of those too ,that is the double Altcar Slip, The problem with them ,imo is that they were designed for a slipper to come out from behind a shy and move forward rapidly as the hare went past ,the slipper,when he adjudged the hare had sufficient law used the impetus of his ,and the brace of dogs forward movement to enable him to let go of the T shaped handle and only retain the loop which is attached to the cord and linchpin . Thats fine when you know a hare is coming from a predetermined direction .[allways the same in driven Coursing], but not much good when one jumps behind yo

    The topic is on endurance, and I take that to mean stamina,as I said ,in comparing a Deerhound Grey straight cross with a Saluki Grey straight cross,the Saluki cross has the edge ,imo.

    I have one with a brass barrel ,but I dont use it ,I find it too fiddly when you are lamping ,I just use a normal flat lead with the catch chopped off ,and thread it through the dogs collar.

    If by the term Staghound ,you mean Greyhound x Deerhound,Ive yet to see one that can hold its own with a good half cross Saluki x grey for stamina.

    A couple of guys had a trio of these in a club I used to belong to, they were quick agile, small to medium sized dogs,I dont know why they are not more popular.
