  3. Funny as hell Stewie lol I ended up putting them in a large pyrex dish with courgette and onion, loads of garlic, fresh herbs (dill, basil, oragano, parsley) seasoning, lashings of olive oil and pureed fresh tomatoes. Then baking for 30 mins ended up looking like a large tin of sardines in tomatoe sauce  But tasted absolutely lovely Just had the left overs on toast with Habanero puree (direct from Mexico and a real arse stinger)

  7. Agreed just recently found this out If a dog is ill like mine (really bad absorption at the moment) Multi vits are safe to give and are beneficial but if the dog doesn't need them they are counterproductive especially with the dose with as mentioned which is set out for an adult human. I would avoid products for the human market firstly on the grounds of dosage and secondly whether its safe for veterinary use. Having worked for best part of my life in the veterinary medicines and supplements business, I do have a fair amount of interest and experience on this subject. However
  8. Some dogs respond to love/affection, some to food it's the reward that works. I've maintained throughout that the collar should be the last resort I trained a staff to be a bloody good gundog through the use of heavy play and cheese
  9. If you do get an e-collar remember it is important that the Idea is to get him to associate the rumble/beep with a recall command not to see as a precursor to pain or a chastisement
  10. There was some antis commenting on there against it the other day Extremists are everywhere in all walks
  11. Made my first Paella today, turned out lovely Reckon my signature is a roast meat casserole with red wine and gravy sauce and Roasted vegetables (parsnips here are shite but they do) My two favourite meats to use in this dish are lamb and venison.
  12. Hi Sandy Ok.... Jelly type crap in er the crap yes sometimes and not a lot but noticeable. Absolutely no pain or tenderness showing but this dog is a nob when it comes to pain as in the bugger doesn't seem to show it, but the lack of has been confirmed by umpteen vet visits complete with pokes prods. As mentioned he's on mild antis and omeprazol? (something for the stomach) this is for the mild Gastritis. Since Socks mentioned Pacreatitis I had a word with the vet and he doesn't think this is the issue but I have been feeding him a diet akin to one fed to a dog with it.

  14. Firstly everybody thank you for your input I really appreciate it Ok Just got back from the vet's Pancreatitis has been totally ruled out. What apparently the problem is, is his intestine is inflamed this is having allsorts of side effects. The actual cause of the inflamation is yet to be confirmed but could of started with something as simple as a normal stomach upset. The results I got today were for the Nutrient absorption, stomach Bile and tbh a shed load of other things I can't remember, but the main outcome was that he is seriously low on Vit B12 and Folic Acid this poin
  15. going to give this a go pal thanks just been looking on ebay pal never used on of them just wondering if they all work or are some crap? just cause the price range differ thanks Firstly I'm not an expert they work mate just make sure you get one that has a beep or vibrate function and start on the lowest setting. Be warned incorrect use WILL fuuck up the dog this is a last resort I strongly recommend back to basics first Your going to get the max results from using this collar when training not sporadically. Get him to assocciate the vibrate/beep with you recalling him, (do this
  16. Actually feel quite sad reading this. Maybe my best friends dad taught me Judo and really put in a lot of time trying to straighten me out, just didn't realise it back then and was still a wee cnut
  17. Hello Helen at the BBC,, heres a suggestion Spend some time on here and see how decent hunters can be,, then go back to the beeb, and tell them to stop demonising us for the sake of cheap crap journalism. Just a thought like,, or just do what you usually do and fire off some cheap shots at us by selective quoting and plain lying. Er if she spends anytime on here that'd be it all hunters would be classed as mental cases Tell you what though Helen how about contacting one of the chaps on here who've help sick and injured animals and write something about them?? The

  19. I don't think so mate his diet was pretty much barf until all this. Every morning when I take him out I stop for a "special coffee" which comes with a biscuit I always give him a bit and he loves it so when he sees one he comes hoping he'll get some. ,
  20. Back to basics mate. Failing that the only thing I can think is a collar mate (aside from having him on the lead which should always be a first). Soon as he starts to fuuck off. Call him - nothing, call him again - vibrate if he don't get it shock the wee fecker and call him back normally. Never use the collar in anger and never get angry when you've shocked him you want the little sod to come belting back to ya with a wtf look on his face but looking for love
  21. What Paulus said
