  1. Did you just advise “follow the herd” ???
  2. Too many hands for me
  3. Seem to remember a Roman contemporary writing about Celt/Briton warriors shagging horses to prove their virility, then chopping of the heads and bathing in the blood… Sounds like a Tuesday night out in Blackpool if I’m honest
  4. Isn't it Socks who loves the Frey Bento pies?
  5. Petra etc, the stone is sandstone if I remember correctly. Soft enough to sculpt with basic metal tools How they worked granite and transported huge blocks is a whole other question.
  6. Not sure what you’re laughing at MC… Telescopes isn’t my thing but ChatGPT is a great tool and pretty clear
  7. What telescope would i need to watch a rocket landing on the moon? To watch a rocket land on the Moon in real time with a telescope from Earth is, unfortunately, beyond the capabilities of any commercially available telescope, even high-end observatories. Here's why and what’s possible: Why You Can’t Watch a Rocket Land on the Moon from Earth Distance: The Moon is about 384,400 km (238,855 miles) from Earth. Resolution required: To see a rocket like Sp

  16. That’s what they’re trying to find. The constants of quantum theory/mechanics/etc. but is everyone now onboard that we went to the moon?
  17. Constants are constants they don’t change outside of where they’ve been observed. What science are you questioning?
  18. Don't need to mate, scientific facts suit the truth not an agenda
  19. They put something out the back of the banger mate lol. Thrust If you have a can of Lynx, when you spray it it gives an opposing force that you are strong enough not to feel the effects of entirely but you can still feel a bit of pressure. Same thing in space would send you on a journey at a good few mph in the opposite direction. Now make that can 5000 times larger in capacity and you're going for a fuucking fast ride
  20. It’s a measurement of velocity that can be understood. Mach refers to the sound barrier which technically means you need air or some medium that can carry sound to break it. Mach 1 on earth would be a higher velocity than Mach 1 on Mars Edited; Doh! Not entirely correct lol thinner atmosphere means less energy input to reach Mach velocity.
  21. Anddddddd…. touché
  22. In the fabrication, planning etc there were a lot more than a few hundred mate.
  23. Nah you’ve got to visit places mate. Like Mack said, Vienna is stunning, great place to visit. It’s nice to experience different cultures, food, beer etc

  25. Yeah…. But in fairness she had a point… I was hanging out of the back of it… happy memories, no harm in knocking a farewell one out
