  1. Hi everyone. Here is an episode where I travel down, 2 times to visit a friend and expert spring rifle tuner, Tony Wall and his team at Sandwell Field Sports (SFS) in West Bromwich. This episode is dedicated to Tony and his team at SFS in recognition for many many years of first class services to the shooting, hunting, fishing and field sports community. This clip does not do Tony and his team the justice that they so rightly deserve, but it is hoped it will help to give you the viewer an insight into the good work that they do. I personally cannot recommend SFS enough. Ple
  2. Ive just bought a new Hawke Panorama 4-12x50 ao ir with half mildots today and been testing it at 25 metres on the new springer and the optics are very impressive. Maybe one to look at mate. Si.
  3. Yes I agree that is a very nice group at 59 yards from a rifle that is not bedded in properly and potentially with a pellet that isn't the best for your rifles barrel. Well in and good shooting Skot mate . I pick up my new springer today and then it has its depute on Friday down in Oxfordshire knocking a few rats off. Will see what I can produce for you in a few weeks time Skot after I have sharpened up my shooting skills and calibrated the SR12 reticule finely. In all honestly though I cant see me improving any on your group there. Going off your photo its probably about
  4. Double bonus there pal. Well in. Get to it then what you doing on the forum LOL. Si.
  5. Cheers Mikey. Next time then maybe pal. Si.
  6. OK lads and lasses, I've just spoken to the military chef Roy who is cooking the breakfast for us on Sun 10th June. Here are the details: Breakfast entails: Beans Various type of cooked egg Quality brand sausages Quality brand bacon Toast Black pudding Tomatoes Various cerals Price £6 per person. The £6 is to cover the food, the cooking of the breakfast, his fuel, as he lives a full 40 mile round trip away. Hope that this is a fair price for everyone? I thinks its good for what service he is providing. Si.
  7. Excellent report that pal and brilliant effort on your part . Get yourself over to the June meet in Nottingham pal and enter the HFT comp we are holding on the Sunday morning. We need people there with your skill to give the others something to chase in the mini comps over the weekend. Si.
  8. My personal experiences are as follows: For longer range hunting then hollow point pellets, be it any type are not as accurate as a domed head. RWS Super H Point pellets worked very well on rats in my old .22 r10, and were pellet on pellet up to 18 metres. Past 18 metres and they opened up quickly. I find a rat hit with a RWS Super H Point goes over instantly after a very deep thud is heard on impact to the head of vital organs. The thud is the noise that is made as kinetic energy is passed from the pellet at speed into the rats body structure. I am ratting this weekend wit

  10. Id go for a new Italian stocked BSA Ultra multi myself. As you want small, light and pointable making it idea for stalking or from a car window. Fit a Hogan Decimetre silencer to it and its very very quiet too. My other choices would be a AA S200 with conversion kit. I myself was going to buy a brand new Brocock Contour Super 6 XL in .22 for ratting last week but after chatting to someone in the know he advised me not to go for one as he said that they are generally well under powered, from any thing like 8 foot to10 foot pounds and they break pretty easily with seals ect.

  12. Nice shot Daz . I bet the magies will love that. Si.
  13. £185 pal so not cheap, but talking to Milbro on the phone they say they are so quiet they need to be seen to be believed.
  14. The screw cut allows you to fit a silencer of your choice, and its also a lot quieter than a standard shroud mate. I'm getting the walnut thumb hole adjustable MFR from Theoben Rifles (.22), then its off to Ben Taylor for the once over and a full length Ben Taylor custom Huggett shroud and silencer like the MFR in the picture pal. Its going to be my main day time hunting combo and if all comes to plan it will be my best air rifle ever. Si. That's a Nutshot Carbon Twin stage Mod with Air Stripper in bottom of the detachable Silencer on the MFR Si , The Hugget is i think Alu
  15. I wouldn't say "more than a match" but definitely as accurate as a r10 from what I'm read and heard. Ive only ever shot 1 and that was Darryl's (Marksman's) .22 Super 10, and that was pellet on pellet at 30 metres in my indoor range at Catterick base. Sometimes price isn't everything though I believe. Take the SS Ultra for example. £309 from Blackpool Air Rifles. Fantastic rifle and very accurate. Si.
  16. From what Ive read and seen the Super10 is a fantastic rifle pal. What model is it BTW? If the rifle is shooting within a good consistent working range say 10.8 to 11.7 foot pounds and its shooting straight and not all over the place then I see no reason why it would be worth waiting if you are just after a worker and not a looker buddy. I'm sure any good working Super 10 will match a r10 for accuracy if you do your bit. Looking back over the past 8 to 10 years BSA haven't made a inaccurate pcp at all. Its just now down to how the rifle as been looked after by its previous
  17. I don't think you will have any problems with the 100 pal, they shoot brilliant straight from the box. The only don't I would say is don't abuse it and the 2 do's I would say are do look after it and do defo enjoy it. Scope wise for £150 i would think about a Hawke Panorama EV 4-12x50 IR AO Rifle Scope for £149 or Hawke Varmint SF 4-16x44 Rifle Scope Both are very nice scopes the first one being my first choice. http://www.uttings.co.uk/Product/543/107109/hawke-panorama-ev-4-12x50-ir-ao-rifle-scope/ Si.
  18. As Russell says contact Anthoni and inform him of the problem you have had pal. The laser diode can burn out if left on too long as they get very hot inside. The laser will need sending back to Anthoni for a new diode. My suggestion to you is once its fixed only leave it on for a very max of 20 to 25 seconds each time just enough time to spot and shoot the quarry, this way the laser works fine and doesn't burn out. Both myself and Davy have had the same problem once until Anthoni explained what was the case and now they are fine. Maybe Anthoni should explain this to his cus
  19. Nice one Tony . They do look nice Marty. Si.
  20. No mate sorry I'm not selling them, it was just one I designed and made for myself to use when ratting. They are pretty simple to make and I'm sure you could design your own, even better than mine with a little thought pal. Si.
