1. Hi Criag, I'm glad that you are having fun with the r10 MK 2. You said to me when we met that you always wanted to have a go with one and put one through its paces. That's some awesome shooting BTW. Ref abusing her, please feel free buddy do with her what you like and take her out in all weathers pal, if it cant handle some abuse its not going to last long with me once I start bunny shooting hard through the cold winter months. Are you using the RWS Super Fields at 4.51mm that I calibrated it with and my trajectory map that is on my scope caps buddy? Your MFR is awesome and
2. Come down on Fri Chris mate, Its a good laugh normally on the Fri night. You not staying at home another day to practice in secret are you ??? . See you soon pal will be brill to finally meet you and the rest of the good lads on here. Si.
3. No seriously Roger, there are many very fine marksman turning up this weekend so the comps will be very tight I should imagine. I've got my ideas who I fancy for winning each comp. Obviosly I think there is only one winner in the recoiling class and Pianoman is the man there. I think the best female shot is 99% taken aswell with Emma. The rest ill hold out on, who knows I may be shocked. Si.
4. That's it then mr T your out of the shooting comp if your FAC. You can just watch LOL. Infact you could volunteer as Roger's rifle cadee, 75 metres will be a breeze then Si.
5. Hi Tony, yes very serious pal. It's just something different pal for people to push themselfs to. The Si Pittaway challenge is at 75 metres anyway and that's one of the comps. It's just a bit of fun. Si.
6. Thinking about it, this weekend it will be a good test of the pellet weight theory as we are not setting the course up to standard HFT rules (unless Davy has changed his mind) so we will be shooting further than normal and at smaller kill zone that what you are allowed in proper HFT. What we can do is shoot at a 10 or 15 mm kill zone at 45 to 70 yards and see what a difference the weight difference makes in POI. Will make for interesting channel footage. Si.
7. Very nice and unique post that Marty. I really enjoyed reading that as it was different from the norm. Your Larson trap as done better than me this year in sorting magpies. I suppose that you could static hunt over the Larson trap too and as the call bird calls them in wait and knock them off as they land with you HW. You coming to the meet on Fri pal? Kind regards Si.
8. Weighing, washing and lubing pellets is best done when you are shooting at distant targets. A pellet that is lighter or heavier by only a bit at close range (10 to 25 metres) is hardly noticed unless you mess up yourself, but you fire the same pellet at 30 to 55 metres and see the difference. A pellet that travels faster than normal by say 10 to 12 fps at range will impact higher than you expect it to and a pellet travelling slower by the same will impact lower than you expect it to. You now aim at a small kill zone and watch what happens. You shoot a rat or a rabbit at 25 metr
9. Looks very consistent that pal. The difference in feet per second from the lowest shot to the highest in only 592.7 fps to 599.1 fps so just 6.4 fps and that could be improved even more with weighed, washed and lubed pellets. Thats better than most PCPs can achieve. Si.
10. Nice rifle mate. Its the same as Davys got. Lovely and so accurate. I shot a big old rook with mine this afternoon that landed on my garden and tried to steel the dogs food. At 25 metres it was a pretty easy shot but still very satisfying to see it just crumple on impact. The rooks are causing a right problem by me in the early mornings squawking and playing up. Si.

12. Ive got one of these scopes on LJ's Ultra and Davy as one on his HW97KT, they are very nice scopes for the price. Im using it in this clip, skip to 12 minutes, and 15.38 to miss the other stuff. Give you some idea of what its like.

14. Congrats Craig. I think there is going to be a very loved and spoiled new born very soon joining your family . I'm made up for you buddy . Take care Si.
15. I think the one you are talking about is the MTC Rapier LRF. From all reports its brilliant. £138 Si.
16. I use a GunTuff LRF mate. I wouldn't be without it now especially shooting .22 again. Si
17. True mate. They dont need much to upset them and a good one like mine is too good to risk breaking. Si.
18. I tried that this morning mate and the camera went all funny on me so Im not trying it again. Its all going to have to be filmed off a tripod this summer. What a nightmare. I remember the trouble I had when i made Spring Rifle Vermin Control. Filming with a springer is a lot harder than with PCP. Si.
19. At 30 yards you wont hear it i should think. Si.
20. Here is some footage from today. Enjoy Si.
