  1. Yes Davy we should of waited with the tequila for the Sat night and then we could of gotten Simon that drunk he would of been seeing 3 targets the next day. I'm still not sure how someone can shoot that well with a springer . I witnessed him shoot a .22 calibre group at 27 yards that was smaller than a .177 pcp group, and the bloke shooting the pcp is a brilliant shot . Work that one out . Si.
  2. Thanks for that Darryl bud, I'd forgotten that you had taken them photos of them groups. Its always nice to prove what you have been saying for months on a forum with so many top class shots witnessing. As Ive said for a long time now a BSA Ultra (if shot correctly) will match ANY sub 12 foot pound hunting rifle currently on the market for accuracy, and pellet through the same hole 5 times making the hole no bigger is the proof. Top rifles especially for the price. Laura shoots really well with it too as was witnessed yesterday with her scoring 45 in the HFT, matching me using
  3. Yeah due to the fact that the match stitch challenge turned into a speed shoot and not a steady shooting comp we scored that on shots fired at speed throughout for the ones that we could count to number of hits as in a real ratting scenario. All did very well with Pipa completing it in the least number of shots followed by me then Chaz then you buddy. We also knew that you wouldn't mind that we did it that way as you had done so well in other events and we wanted to share the prizes as much as possible. Si.
  4. That's totally understood Stevo buddy. It will be good to meet you and your lass then at the next meet pal. More and more girls are now attending these meets and enjoying their weekend. This one my LJ, Anne (Neil's partner) and Emma (Snypercat) all attended, and if on the next one they turn up again with Nicki (Andys wife) and Jacki (Johns partner) it will be a cracking female comp. Si.
  5. Hi guys, Well that's another Hunting Life meet over and Ive got to say it was another brilliant weekend which both me and Laura really enjoyed. On behalf of myself, Davy and Chaz I would like to thank all that attended as without you giving up your weekend and turning up to Nottingham it wouldn't of been the event it was, so for us it was you guys who really made it so good (thanks). Also it was great to meet so many new faces from the section and watch so many top class marksmen and women shooting to such a high degree consistently throughout the whole weekend. A massive well
  6. Got to aggree to disagree Marty. Your reply made me laugh though mate. Si.
  7. I can't see why washing and lubing pellets is not worth doing, apart from those that say it doesn't make any difference or its a waists of time. I wouldn't say its a ritual either when people do it. It's more about good equipment preparation. You fill your rifles to 180 or 190 bar if using a aa s410 to be straight in your sweet spot, you check zero prior to shooting, you calibrated your scope for holdover. This is not a ritual as you wouldn't get the results you do consistently without doing it. Same goes for pellet prep. If your really serious about gaining the best results from
  8. Ill second that one Skot, brilliant shooting that Ghillies. I have never met anyone that can 1 hole with a springer at 50 yards and standing. Best I have ever done is a 1 hole group about 13mm at 40 metres a few days a go with a springer, but from the prone and rested on a cushion and my hand and i thought that was pretty good . Awesome Ghillies I would of loved to watch you when you were at your prime . Si.
  9. Neil, I think if you give me 1 hour with your Ann and my Laura together practising various shooting techniques I will have her hitting plenty of targets and surprising you mate. The offer is there. Si.
  10. Thanks mate, That's really kind of you. Shame that you cant make it buddy. Hopefully the next one. Si.
  11. Loads of magpies Daz and some right fat squizzers too yoth . Ill let you have the first couple of shots mate with your Rapid and then when you miss Ill break the glass on the HW97KT and wake it up ready for magpie war .
  12. Shame that you couldn't still get down Phil without the Rapid mate and still meet the lads and have a beer and a crack. It would be nice to finally meet you. Maybe next time though buddy so get well soon pal. Si.
  13. . Well done for taking him under your wings lads. Si.
  14. Plenty of rooms in the centre Tony, you don't need to get wet if its hammering down mate. Davy snores too, like a wild boar in mating season, he can be in the same room as you . Every time he stays at mine and LJ's house we can hear him in the next room with 2 doors closed . Si.
  15. I'll be there from 0900 hrs with LJ. At this rate we will be shooting a lot in the indoor range. Better bring the darts partner. The weather today as been bad here water wise. If lads have got POP up tents then they can put them up in the big hall if they want privacy or just bring a roll mat or camp bed and put that up. As my LJ is with me we will be putting up our POP up in the hall for kipping. Don't forget to bring your targets if you have any to help make the plinking range good. Si.
  16. You will need to phone me when you get to the centre as will everyone I suspect or if you haven't got my mobile number you will have to press the buzzer for assistance from the centre staff. Ill pm you my personal mobile number Adam. Si.
  17. Between 1100 hrs and 1200 hrs would be great pal. Si.
  18. Yeah that is some nice shooting skills being displayed there by the guy with the springer. Being American I should also imagine that both rifles are FAC, 20 to 34 foot pounds probably minimum and so the wind doesn't have that much time to make a impact on the pellet over 50 yards like it does with a sub 12, but still though very nice shooting all the same. Its defo given me a idea for this weekend. We could re run this test at sub 12 and see how the springers do against a pcp . With a nice calm day and the right pellet i think a springer could come pretty close to the results of a
  19. Hope the weather is better than it as been today in Nottingham. I have been soaked all day getting ready for tomorrow. Mindya the amount of squizzers, woodies and magpies Ive seen in the centre grounds have been very pleasing . I'm sure if one of them comes to visit us over the weekend I may have to feed it 14.3 grain of prime cut Accupell . Si.
