  1. I think i would defo go for the HW100 over the Webley. Not played with the new Raider 10 yet but know the HW100 is fabulous. For £750 - ish the HW100 as it all doesn't it? Excellent magazine system, good shot count, great looks, accurate as any Daystate hunting rifle on the market and well balanced.
  2. Nice Ste. Love that final woody, it was a cracker. Si.
  3. Main point is that a .177 is not more accurate than a .22 caliber. They are both as accurate as each other mate. When a pellet goes through a pellet hole without making it any bigger you cant get any more accurate. Both calibres do this. Its easier to gain accuracy with a .177 due to its flatter trajectory.
  4. Hi there, In This episode of VerminHuntersTV I show you some of the slight changes that I have made to my night time shooting setup to improve the overall capability of the rifle in the pitch black where no torch light is used. I then go on to show you how I use a Hawke laser as a range estimation aid at night to assist in accurate shooting before I finally show you some long range daytime and night time footage through the Nite Site NS200. Please enjoy Si.
  5. Hi Rob, What pellets have you found to be hard to cycle in the magazine buddy? My last Ultra was a single shot .177 so i didn't have the problem with awkward pellets in a magazine and mine loved JSB Exacts at 4.53 mm. I'm hoping my new Ultra SE which is a multishot will like them to . What pellets are you finding work best in yours for accuracy and the mag working well? Si.
  6. It was 4 and 3/4 mildots on x 8 mag mate as the XVI is only pushing out 9.8 foot pounds in this cold weather. It only does 10.3 FP though in the Summer, so its dropped 1/2 a foot pound in the cold. Its still ample though for rats, feral s and rabbits as long as i place the shot correctly in the kill zone. Even at 50 meters it still has 6.1 foot pounds with a BC of 0.0283 which is what i calibrated the RWS Super Field at.
  7. For plinking and paper target shooting I would go for a Weihrauch HW98 in .177 caliber mate. You then have the option of using it for HFT, FT where you have got a nice stock that you can easily customize to your build and face / cheek structure, plus you could use it for hunting if you fancy it at a later date. All the HW's are awesome though so whether you go for a 95, 97, , 98, 77 or 35 you wont go wrong.
  8. I would be happy with the 35 and 40 yard groups there mate. Very nice shooting and well under an inch, probably more like half inch. Si
  9. I find .22 RWS Super H Points are very good and accurate to around 18 / 20 meters when ratting. They seem to loose their accuracy in my barrels much past this range. I mostly use RWS Super Fields though in the .22 XVI as they hit hard and are accurate to past 50 meters. I shot a woody to day at 54 meters on the laser with the XVI and the Super Fields (on camera too though the Nite Site). Si.
  10. Well in lads . Some awesome scores there. Si.
  11. Well if that the case then yes mate as long as our sponsors would be happy with that. Where is your post leading anyway? Have you your own unit that you have built and are wanting it tested in high definition? Si.
  12. If someone who has made their own unit that is not impeding on the Nite Site patent or anyone elses patent wanted us to test it. Im sure we could do that on a episode of the show.
  13. Hi Davy, Yes it will be good to finally get some hunting footage with the new Lawmate. Si.
  14. Hi lads, Here is a review that I have been doing showing you our (VerminHuntersTV) new video recording unit that myself and Davy have just clubbed in together and purchased for our channel filming. Its the new model Lawmate PV1000 Portable Digital Video Recorder. This is a full HD recording unit that we will be using for filming our night vision footage with from now on. The review is split up into 2 parts as it is pretty long in length, but this is down to me wanting to show you its full potential and quality as a field recording unit from a air rifles hunters perspective.
  15. Really good write up there Ste. Seems your Panther is now serving you very well with the new pellet. At what range was the group on the post you were shooting at? Si.
  16. Great photo Archie and great looking rilfe. I love the r10.
  17. That video proves everything that i have just tried to explain in layman's terms Daz . Si.
  18. Bang on Bang tidy . You have hit the nail on the head there . A .22 sub sonic rim fire bullet travelling fast and flat will and does for many people (even though they dont like to admit it on here) kill foxes at 100 yards. Why do we suggest a bigger heavier bullet being better for the job? Larger surface area, more damage on kinetic impact (greater impact knock down power as we like to call it) bigger impact and exit wound = bigger internal organ vacume if the larger bullet goes straight through, more internal damage. No difference with a .177 and .25 but at smaller quarr
  19. Rough and quick figures into CGP = A 8.4 grain .177 at 11.5 (foot pounds energy) FPE will have 6.2 FPE retained at 55 yards A 24.3 grain .25 at 11.5 FPE will have 7.1 FPE retained at 55 yards. Almost a full FP more. Both energy's there though are ample to kill any of our legal vermin at that range.
  20. This is whats happening in a crude way with the large and small calibres. Where the larger falls down is as you say its trajectory. This is where the shooter needs to really know his or her aim points and ideally if shooting further than their zero use a LRF. Si.
