does a silencer make much difference
zini replied to festa's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
The one that Tony Wall as designed is very good and cheaper than a HW. Probably in a par with one though. Si. -
Oh cheers, sorry I thought you said Aldi.
-
Can you please post a picture of your unit Pav? Good units aren't they for £99? Si.
-
Try contacting Aldi if your thinking of buying one mate. They may still have some to sell you at the same price. The picture quality is very good on them and far better than i ever expected. Grand little toys for rabbiting with a air rifle or ratting.

Hi Roger my friend, I wouldn't say that you need one mate but they do bring quite a lot to the party. They would compliment a NS50 / 200 very well as instead of having to lift the rifle to look through the NS screen to spot your quarry all you have to do is just peek through the Bresser. This saves on NS battery power too and is a lot lighter than a rifle combo. If your shooting with a buddy he can also watch and film you shoot with it if needed. Si.

Yes sure Russell. It was purchased from Aldi mate. It is x 5 magnification and comes with a 5 year warranty. The objective lens is 50 mm. You can also record video through it as its a digi and not generation model. Have a look at this bit of footage that a bloke on YouTube filmed when ratting. What ever quality you see here, the actual picture through the view finder on the unit is better as the footage your watching isn't as high quality as the screen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fk4l1JjOJ6Y Here is mine:

Ive just been out testing my new Aldi Bresser NV monocular that me, Davy and Charlie all purchased last week when they were on sale for £99 instead of the normal price of £149. I had to drop Laura off at Morrison's early today for work so I thought that I would take it with me and stop on the way home at a area that I know holds a good population of bunnies. Now this area has no lights and the night was very dark so it was the perfect test for any digi unit. Turning on the unit and then the ir and looking through it was awesome. The unit has a dimmer on its ir and camera so getting

H&N FTT .22 WEIGHT ????????????????
zini replied to davyt63's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Those 15.3s will fall slightly low of your normal poi im sure at 40 to 45 yards if you zero your rifle with the 14.7s. Thats bad quality control on the behalf of the makers of H and N. Si. -
Awesome post mate. Brilliant size bag too.

I believe that the correct answer is where the turrets are on the scope as this is where the scope line of sight is formed (LOS), but I just stand and laze the target then move forwards and backwards until I'm at 25 metres. With the LRF you can be then just short of + / - 1 metre range plus what ever the accuracy of the laser is. I still get very accurate results doing it this way and the reason is explained below. The difference from muzzle to butt of the rifle in pellet flight time cannot really be measured in terms of your shooting ability so in practice it makes no odds. if

you can stick that! where the sun dont shine!! in all seriousness, the original comment was just meant as an of the cuff funny and not to cause you any offence mate. if i overstepped the mark then i'm genuinely sorry davy, i think way too much of you to mean to properly p*** you off buddy. cheers, wurz I dont think he took it as you were having a go John. Mr T just like to get people with his Hook Line Sinker (HLS) sketch . He does it to me all the time . Si.

I have to agree with you there Andy . I have shot a lot of pcps over this past last 4 years. Daystate Air Ranger, Daystate Air Wolf, Daystate Panther Daystate MK 4IS, HW100KT, S, T, Rapid MFR, Air Arms S400, S410, BSA r10, Scorpion SE and Ultras. All the above named rifles are great rifles and very accurate , but there is something special about a HW100KT for me and I dare say that none of the above named other rifles could better it. Maybe match it but not better it . Si.

OK Simon cheers mate. Hi Skot, You not getting on with the HW95 buddy? That will be a good buy for someone . Si
-
That's good news then Daz . We should have a really good springer comp in June then especially if more use their springer than their pcp's. By Feb Ill have a few new pcp's in my own armoury, but to tell you the truth I don't think they will be put in my car apart from Laura's new toy to drive to the meet . Its going to be a springer weekend for me . Si.
-
Hi Simon, Did you manage to drop your HW97KT off at Tony's on your way home the other day mate? If so when you pick it up let me know what you think of it after its tune. Si.
-
Nice looking rifle there Daz that you have on order buddy. I look forward to seeing you shoot it at the next meet in June mate . You going to use it in the main HFT comp on the Sunday bud? With all the springers showing up now in the section we could have a real good springer comp in June . Si.
-
Nice one Helen . You are making a great choice in the HW95 . What a rifle to start with or even use for years and years to come . Ive owned quite a few over the years both standard and SFS tuned and they are just fab. Light, well engineered, well balanced and so so accurate. Fit a Hawke Panorama EV 4 - 12 x 40 AO IR scope to it with a half mildot reticule and you will have a real target smasher . Si.

Boredom Leads To Weight Gain!
zini replied to Mawders's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi Adam, No you can just go and turn up and shoot a round like I'm doing buddy. I'm just using it as a practice day really and trying myself out against the .22 springer pro's in the series. By all accounts there are some crack .22 shots in the series. I will be shooting it properly next year with Davy and Charlie and the rest of the lads that attend it with my new toy . The address is 09/12/12 - Cambridge HFT - SG8 6QD Si. -

Good post Mawders buddy, and I loved reading your blog. I know what you mean about the excitement of picking up a new rifle tuned by Tony. I love the look of your 95 with the scope fitted. It looks like the Panorama compliments the rifle very well. Reading your pellet weighing bit I have to agree with you pal. When I weigh my pellets for HFT I put them into different pots as per weight and use the ones that are obviously all the same weight as my Chair Gun data was produced on. A difference of just 0.1 or 0.2 of a grain cant really be snuffed at as your data that you enter into -
Thanks for the comments everyone. It was a pleasure to spend the day with you Simon and your lovely partner. I see Helen being a forced to be reckoned with by June. I see we are getting slaughtered on the channel already for supposedly unsafe shooting at the start of the clip. You just cant please some people. They look for any excuse to bring you down and give you a thumbs down. Si.

Hi there, In this episode of VerminHuntersTV I make the 2 ½ hour drive down south to meet up with Davy, Chaz, Phil, Pianoman and his good lady Helen for a days HFT shooting at Old Down Pursuits HFT club in Driffield. Its always nice to see my friends and this time was no exception. Helen had only just learnt how to hold and shoot a air rifle for the first time the previous day, and Sunday was her first real run out at shooting a proper HFT course. Just watch how well she did . Some of you guys, myself included better get practising before the June meet or she's going to g
