LOL Tony buddy If the regs can put their heads together and get me out with the old trusty R10 in July I would be over the moon pal and be forever in your debt. No mate the ProSport will be left in Germany while I go to Canada for my little holiday. I won’t be shooting any air rifles out there pal except my trusty 5.56mm and 7.62mm NATO ball round rifles which makes a big hole in a grizzly bear. LOL just kidding about shooting bears for all you bear huggers . Si

Pellet types and weight. What to use??
zini replied to saxosportsaxo's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I guys, Please don’t everyone automatically think that putting a heavier weight pellet into an air rifle will increase the power of the rifle automatically or that putting a lighter pellet into your rifle will lower the power. Some weeks ago I did some chronoing with my HW100KT PCP. First I used FX 16 grain pellets which are brilliant pellets and give me a very high power reading, well up in the 11s. After I finished testing the FX I decided to try 14.3 grain Accupels thinking that the power would drop drastically and give me a much lower power reading than the FX. When -
Hi Gary buddy, I find that when out lamping bunnies with a red filter if you put the cross hair about 1 cm up above the bunnies eyes and 1 cm back and gently squeeze the trigger the red eye seems to automatically disappears on its own . I don’t know why that is Si

If you shop around pal you will pick up a great deal for £400 I promise you. I don’t want to say which rifle is best as that would be wrong of me and it would only be my personal view and would probably upset some of my friends on here, but what I will say is that any rifle made by the popular companies will be more accurate than you will be able to shoot buddy if you match it with the correct pellet. I personally own BSA and Weihrauch pre charged rifles which I find exceptional, but also along the same lines I own an Air Arms springer that I am starting to shoot nearly as accurate

FX four stage is easy work and cheap in the long run I also own a R10 and i use this pump Si

As regs have already mentioned, I have used one of these scopes for a long time. For the money that you pay for them they are un beatable. I have managed to shoot quite a few head of vermin with mine at some modest ranges and it as never let me down. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a real good scope at a cheap price. Si

If you want to see some good shooting buy one of my 2 DVDs, I have a bit better clean kill ratio that this guy. £74 is a joke especially if the bloke can’t shoot for pooh. That’s what you get when a bloke thinks he can shoot and doesn’t really care where he shoots the animal or how many shots it takes to kill it just as long as he kills it. Proper poor stuff. Si

Nice pics mate What a life you have mate Im really jealous of you buddy. Si

Hi guys and LOL Yes the Zini Meister will return for good in 2 days time when my home router turns up. Just at work at the moment. Sorry about missing the shooting meet guys, but as my good pal Gary says, I have to go and have a 2 month holiday in Canada and put up with drinking beers and adventurous training while taking in the wonderful sights. Crap job I have but someone needs to do it. I have missed you all and haven’t even been out with the Pro Sport since arriving in not so sunny Germany. I am however over for a month starting from the 3rd July 10 while on a m

I use one when static hunting over a warren mate. I find them to be very useful bits of kit and have assisted me accounting for a few bunnies in my time. My favourite type og hunting is from a static position. Si

Well in Davy pal That was a very good read buddy. Si

Nice one Bill buddy, They will make a nice bunny pie and should be nice and tender. Si

I have owned a 99 before pal and they are cracking springers. I haven't come across a crap weihrauch. A 99 will take 40 to 45 metre quarry no problems with the correct technique and pellet. Si.

Hi Davy pal, Its good to be in here again I see that there is some new lads in here which is good to see. Si

If you are shooting at 60 degress to the horizontal plane then you will need to aim low Arron buddy. If you keep to you 30 yard zero range, hold under will do it but if you are shooting further than your zereo range at that angle then you will not have to aim so low due to the effect of slant range over the trajectory. You have to aim low when shooting at steeps inclines and declines, only ever adding holdover to compensate for slant range. The amount of hold under must be learnt with experience pal, but shooting at leaves or twigs at the estimated angle and range will give you a g

Got to agree being out is better than dishes Si

Nice one Gary pal Good to see that you are getting on well with the range finder. Did you buy a GunTuff in the end? Hows the car mate? Si

Nice shooting Davy pal I used to use them Bisleys in my GP Storm in .22 calibre. They really do knock the bunnies over well. Just using the wifes mums internet until mine turns up on the 19th. Si

Nice one Bunny, You made the mistake by letting your kid shoot the R10 first LOL. I told you the FX pellets would impress you buddy, or your kid LOL. The HW is a brill rifle too buddy so im sure you will do just fine . My PCPs are with my mother now and i have the Air Arms Pro Sport with me now till im over again. Going to join my old shooting club again and improve my shooting with a springer for when im over next. Si

Ill catch up with all of you when i get set up in Germany. Thanks Gary buddy, you are a very good friend. To all teh regulars on here. You have taught me as much as i have taught you. Thanks for that Si

Both rifles are very good rifles mate. I liked my Stealth a little better than the Storm and i got my longest shot ever with my Stealth. The rifles are just out and out vermin destroyers. Some people say that they are not accurate striaght from the shop and need tinkering. Rubbish mate only my Storm was moded. Its people who cant shoot correctly and blame the rifle buddy. I would have another Stealth or Storm tomorrow pal. With a .22 Stealth you are able, "shooting ability depending" to take vermin all day long at 50 metres mate and shoot some 1/2 groups at 35 metr
