HI Shay, Yes mate the rifle is really nice to shoot and so smooth too. Id like to see how it does in a sterile range with no wind at 40 metres mate. I bet it would beat alot of PCPs if the PCP owner was not an accomplished shot at that range. When i get to Germany i intend to join my old shooting club again and compete with it against the German shooters. Im sure it will win me a few bits of silver here and there . My idea is to shoot a springer while I'm over there, improving my shooting to make me a better shot and then when i get home on leave start my new DVD.

Ive just measures the size of the targets and they were a little bigger than i estimated on the video. The volvic top is 28mm and the milk top is 38mm The smaller target well is within a kill zone size, and the larger target is just within the kill zone size. Si

Hi all here is some more footage from today. I went out in the woods near my house with Dylan my lad and set up several small targets at a lased 40 metres (43.7 yards). The targets were volvic bottle tops and milk carton tops which are considerably smaller than the recommended kill zone size of air gun quarry. Before someone comments that the pellets were not in the dead centre of each target I was sat against a tree with no rifle rest, resting the rifle on the palm of my hand and on my knee. I’m 100% sure that with my rest the targets would have been hit centrally each time.

My DVD fund is empty at the moment Gary I need to sell some more before i get any more rifles. Si

Hi Shay, Yes mate they are FX 16 grain pellets. £10.99 for 500, but worth every penny buddy. The R10 loves them and so does the HW100KT and Pro Sport. Ive changed the HW100KT to Accupells though after the chrono results on them mate. The HW100Kt just loves Accupells to bits mate giving mint power to consistancy readings. Si

new bsa lightning air rifle
zini replied to wezbnp09's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Can you put up a picture of it up mate? Going on you paying £40 which is a megga deal on a Lightning if its working fine and not broken, it will be a older model which Im no expert but i believe that that are the ones built in the UK . Also there should be a serial number somewhere on the rifle that you can write down and then phone BSA and give them the serial number over the phone and they will be able to give you some history on the rifle. I.E place of manufactor and year etc . BSA GUNS (UK) LIMITED Armoury Road Small Heath Birmingham B11 2PP T: +44 (0)121 772 8543 -
What range have you zeroed the rifle at Rob? When you say shouldnt have missed, do you mean because they were very close? What scope have you got pal and sort of reticle have you got in your scope buddy? It looks from the pic like a 3-9x40. I may be able to help you out some if you can answer the above questions pal Si

Nice rifle that Farmer, Thats what me and Shay are getting next a HW97KT. Going to get it from SFS after it as been tuned by Tony Wall. Yes the cocking lever is hidden under the rifle. It cocks very easily for the power it pushes out mate. 11.88 ft/lbs, and the rifle is really quiet at 10 metres for a springer. Cant fault it really for the price. What you got for £300 was also a steal pal, especially if its been VMAC-ed. Si

my propsport 22 is here

Hi Shay, I know that Gary secretly misses his Pro Sport pal. He loves his new S510, but he still remembers where his routes lie. I’ve got to say I really did enjoy zeroing mine and shooting mine today on a few targets. I’ve got to say that the Hawke SR12 scope is brilliant mate and helped with the accuracy loads. I managed today to do something that I did with the R10 a few days ago, and that was to hit a bottle top 2 times at a lased 40 metres. That’s pretty good accuracy for a springer as the pellets hit the centre both times and went into a group the size of a -
Yep that would be cool Jasper wouldnt it? Thanks for the comments about the hair dryer pal Why make life hard for yourself though pal? If you have the tools use them The video is a bit boring i know but it may help someone out who is interested in trying something new with their pellets out, or is thinking about testing the power of their rifle. I surpose it will assist the new shooters more. Si

Yep your right Gary mate, I asked the long haired General first LOL. I told her its the money ive made selling DVDs so she couldnt really winge Yep i can see why you still miss her pal. They are so smooth to shoot arnt they? Si
-
It wont be long guys, YouTube cancelled it as it was a bit too long so ive edited it shorter now. Give me half hours from now lads. Sorry i cant do anything about it. Its Dark Angel again LOL. Yep Richard i was well shocked when i saw the chrono readings on the FX 16 grains The rifle was doing 11.88 ft/lbs with them and very consistant too. The most consistant pellets were the Webley Accupells but they were only doing10.55 ft/lbs while the RWS Super Domes were doing 11.04 ft/lbs and not very consistant at all. Si

LOL Richard, Ive sold alot of DVDs mate via YouTube and my DVD piggy bank got raided today . I couldnt turn that deal down pal could I now? I Shay i know really funny hey that? Both on the same day. Yep this gun will get a good life of shooting vermin. Its new hunting life starts later when i Christen her on a few North Yorkshire bunnies . Yes the rifle is bang on for accuracy and now that the SR12 is calbrated its putting pellet on top of pellet at quite modest ranges. Si
