  1. Hi Stroller, Some springers that you may want to have a look at with your budget i would say are as follows: Weihrauch HW97K mark 2 Thumbhole - This is a dream machine. AirArms Pro Sport or Air Arms TX200 mark 3, both very good and accurate rifles. Weihrauch HW97K - without the thumb hole stock. Weihrauch HW95K - Light weight but very accurate and full power. Weihrauch HW77 Weihrauch HW98 Weihrauch HW90 Webley Longbow Weihrauch HW80K Webley Stingray II XS BSA Lightning BSA Supersport All the above rifles are full power between 11 and 12
  2. Nice shooting there pal Si
  3. Nice fat rats there mate Keep up the good posts Si
  4. I think the pigeon is defo dead there mate Cant say that i have ever seen that happen before mate with a .22 air rifle. What pellets were you using mate? Well done anyway. Si
  5. Nice going there Celtic The BSA looks a nice tool too mate. Si
  6. I sometimes fit a black neoprene sling on my BSA R10 and i have a leather one on my AA Pro Sport mate. I bought the black one myself and the leather one was already om the AA. I actually prefer the black neoprene one better. But as Andy says, i also like abit of leather Si
  7. Good grouping that Tony mate . What range was you at buddy? Si
  8. Darryl, Ive spoken to this bloke before mate and he was slagging me like mad on PM over YouTube so i ignored him. He said that i only hunted tame birds and rabbits as i did alot of shooting from my vehicle I tried to explain to him that i had a very big permission and driving and shooting was the best way to cover the huge area and make some kind of dint in the vermin. He couldnt get it in his small mind though that i was doing a pest control job in Catterick for my boss and not just sport hunting Can someone please find me some more tame quarry to shoot though as i did
  9. Good call Shay i would never sell my Pro Sport mate. The rifle is a dream machine. Si
  10. It looks a nice rifle that he has there buddy. I think that you will love the HW, you seemed to like mine when you shot it. I seem to remember that first woody you shot with my rifle not liking the HW though Si
  11. Nice write up there Gary mate Have you read the thread about the bloke thinking of swopping his HW100KT for a AA S510? Thought that maybe you may be interested? Nice picture there too buddy. Arron the lamp is a Deben Tacer Max with dimmer a filter and i think that Gary as a dimmer switch too now for it. Its a ace bit of hunting kit. Si
  12. I use a Deben mate with a dimmer and red and amber filter and that is really good. I have used a Stinger as well but the battery goes really quick and needs charging after 30 mins ish. Never used the Ledray so i cant really comment on them mate. The good thing about the Deben with a dimmer is that you get a good range to spot rabbits at distance with in the field and then you can turn down the power to take the shot. Si

    Well done buddy Si
  14. Looking at the video i think that he was no where near 100 yards away. I have had experiences with this bloke before on my YouTube channel and he as been blocked by me for being very negative to be nice to him . 1. He doesnt do a live zoom in and out to show the distance before shooting the bunny live. When i did my 55 metre accuracy testing a few days ago i did and the distance of 55 metres looked alot further than what he says is 100 yards. 2. He doesnt show the range on the range finder either, yet states that he as one with him UMMMMMM. 3. Going from my experience that ra
  15. That was a very good post Darryl Nice photos to mate. I sure miss shooting a few bunnies. Si
  16. Good point there Pest A top answer in my book Si
  17. Hi Mooney, My favourite rifle is a PCP i must admit, and that being my BSA R10 as it is so easy to use and make good kills with while allowing me to be shooting technique lazy. But as for self shooting pride you cant beat the feeling of making a good kill with a springer as you know you must have done everything correct from loading the pellet to picking up the shot quarry. As for springers my favourite is a HW97KT, ive owned the HW97K and that was mint. Si
  18. Hi Air Gunner, I would say try the FX pellets in your barrel and use a chrono to see what power they are flying out at. My BSA loves FX but that’s a PCP. Only trial and error shows the truth. I was always told that PCPs love heavy pellets and springers love light weight pellets but after testing my Pro Sport I found that the FX 16 grains where much better in consistency and power than the lighter weight RWS and Accupells. Just goes to show there is always a surprise in shooting with a air rifle. Regarding zero range I zero now at 25 metres or 27 yards with all my .22
  19. Nice write up Jack 5 stars from me. I think the HW springers are just great rifles. i really am after a HW97KT myself for my next rifle. Si
  20. Hi Aaron mate, Where i am they are just starting to build nests so not yet sitting over chicks. As a rule i wont shoot them when they are bringing up young uns. I like to wait and then shoot them when they are eaters. As Shay says though buddy if its a paid job it as to be done. I used to shoot on a golf driving range and the owner wanted the rooks shot. Nesting time was the best time to do this so i used to hit them on their nests. Si
  21. Hi 1888, I always wash my pellets when brought from the shop. No matter how clean they look with the naked eye they will be dirty and have small bits of lead in them which end up in your barrel making it dirty and not aiding accuracy at all. If you are happy with putting up with this fact then there is no need to wash them, its a personal choice really. I was just wondering though would you drink and put dirty water from a puddle outside your house into your body or walk inside and turn on the tap and drink clean water? Thats the way i look at it. If you have respect fo
  22. My answer is the same for your question on the rabbits pal. A .22 or .177 calibre 12FP rifle will humanly kill out to around 55 metres with a experienced shot, a bit further in good conditions has as been proven by regulars on here. This doesnt mean that you need to do this though the skill is in the shooter and depends on many other factors, Rifle, pellet barrel match, weather conditions, angle of the target, type of scope reticle, and many more etc. If i was you buddy i would just stick to 10 - 15 metres for now, believe me there is enough out there that sits or stands at 10
  23. Its a simple answer really buddy, You should only really be hunting rabbits or any other air rifle quarry when you can ensure that your skill is good enough to put a pellet in a kill zone (brain size) at any given range. This may mean you starting off short range hunting after a bit of paper practice from a static position close to a warren (10 to 15m) with camo on or mid range shooting (20m)before moving up to 25m - max range of a sub 12FP rifle when your skill as improved considerable. Dont rush to make the long shots buddy as its much better and more important to learn to shoot
