  5. Doing this for a mate, He has had a change in circumstances and has to get rid of a couple of dogs. He is gutted about it and Im not enjoying doing this for him as I know he is gutted about letting him go, but giving him a hand as this dog would suit a working home. Entire dog 23 tts 3 years old, been used for beating.works cover well, yaps on scent. Broke to stock.........not broken to deer. lives out.looking for a suitable home for him north somerset pm's only, Don't mess me about Havn't got time Cheers
  6. ive got the permission behind the airport for ferreting but there's feck all round there anymore, and the only other place with a healthy rabbit population would be wrington.... Would suggest to anyone going there tho that they be fit because if alvis boys sees the lamp they'll be around your ass quicker than you could slip your dog and them boys ain't friendly lol Mr brother inlaw works for them.....they like to shoot the land themselves......not keen on strangers to say the leas lolt. We live in north somerset and travel hour south to go lamping again. Gets mullered here to close to bristol

  10. These are nice pups seen them in the flesh, well looked after strong and a nice even litter.we came back with a bitch pup. hard choice as all looked good.....your right they are crap pics all the best mate
  11. Do any of the lads run the pures then at all ? I hear theres a few in Ireland still
  12. I wouldnt get one as a gun dog ....but for ther other aspects of the work a collie lurcher would suit his needs. depending what type of hunting he would be doing most would influence his choice of dog
  13. A cross I was going to get myself but finding a decent litter bred for the right reasons out of proper working dogs are not that common mate. Its upto the buyer if they go to hancock as its the easy option but not for me , your more likely to come across collie based lurcher litters where the pups have been bred to carry on there stock , A pup raised in a family enviroment is always a bonus
  14. I know of a litter of collie lurchers mate if your intrested. Sire is my collie grey X whippet 24 tts 5 years old, he does me alrite , Damn collie grey x Deer grey 26 tts 9 years old , bred to keep one back for the bitches owner. there was seven pups most are booked up but maybe one spare. they should do what your looking for in a dog if you put the time in
  15. I clocked the dog mate....seen you at the crewkerne show few years back with my brother
  16. There is a few working deerhounds in ireland...Do a few searches and you may come across them
  17. not alot about in the north of somerset....Wet wet wet....2 years of mixy on the bounce....flooded burrows.....rubbish year round this way. But lots of roe about
  18. It looked like you said they make good rabbiting dogs....but lack size for bigger stuff regular...maybe I misinterpreted your post. I have seen a few go to aswell
  19. Really only good for Rabbits....really ?.....How many have of this type have you seen run jambay mate. It depends on the type of Deer they were run on and the stamp of the dog as you will get alot of variation in these dogs even from same litter...whippety light types....to collie greyhound types..The one's I have seen Don't lack fire in there bellys either
  20. Converted to Islam mate.....worked out how use a camera yet ? Stick some pics up or pm me
  21. Go on the beddy forum and find a digging beddy , theres a few about. would rather sacrifice a few inches in height for a dog doing what there bred for originally , not knocking rabbiting dogs........I own a few myself, but surely a beddy doing earthwork is the best place to start a line ?
