    good thread this lads. different opinions on subject aswell. i wanted a bushing dog to work with my two lurchers and in the end got my myself a 3/4 beagle 1/4 russel pup 2 weeks ago. has anyone worked one of these ? and do they differ much from a straight first cross ?

    I went for it and got myself this 3/4 beagle 1/4 russel. seen both parents and looked good. picked her up saturday. can't wait to get her going. will be mostly hunting in brambles and woodlands, got her to bush for the lurchers. ow do anybody running slightly different terrier beagle X's like pats, lakie & beddys and how do they compare. good thread this

    cheers mate, do you or have you worked one then ?, found myself a pup. just clueing myself up on this X really and fishing for info. do loads of mooching and live in a good spot. be mostly bramble patches and woodlands. You can,t go far wrong with the cross for working any cover but once they go to ground the first time you wont stop them.My brother had a big dog we had to dig to him all the time but ive never seen a better dog to find cubs to ground this time of year.Myself i went for russel x cocker x beagle but found they go like hounds on fox so ive just added terrier to them to

    anybody working beagle russels ?, thinking of getting myself one to work with my lurchers for flushing and mooching. how do you find them workwise and generally. never owned this type before so after a few pointers and advice really thought this would be the best section to put it on. the pup im thinking of getting is probaly around 5/8 beagle 3/8 russel. if any of you got some pics that would be good so stick em up. thanks

    Thinking of converting the shed at end of the garden for the dogs and putting a run and roof on the side , has anyone done this before and was it any good. thinking of getting some kingspan and plying it out and maybe a heat lamp for the winter. its a 6 X 4 shed and not brand spanking but does the job. dogs live in at the moment but got a little one on the way in august so have promised to sort a run out witch is fair enough. just wandering if i should bite the bullet and buy a special dog run and kennel off the internet instead. if so what suppliers you lads have used ? and a good value for m
