  1. referring to the last part of post the law on ian b bit seem to state you can't dig to the fox until the dog has come out, but you can dig if the dog is trapped i still don't quite get it Quite simple if the dog does'nt come out after 20-30 minutes of being in the same spot, then for the welfare of the terrier you have to believe he is trapped, meaning you can dig down and retrieve your terrier.

  5. Badger setts are easy to recognise. Best thing you can do is get out with a few local lads on a few digs. I dont think its a good idea trying to buy an earth dog thats already working when you havent got a clue what your doing ( not being nasty). Get a pup and learn along with it then next year both you and your pup will be ready for a bit of sport.

  12. Think the bloke should pack in working his dogs if thats the quality of dogs he has. Same bloke probably has had litters from those bags of shite and sold them as being from good workers. Still carnt believe two dogs backing off like that from one rat.
  13. Sounds to me as if the pup has no confidence, bit unusual with terriers its usually over confidence they suffer from. Anyway to build confidence play with the pup but let it win every time, this might regain its confidence and dont hit it again in a hurry.
  14. Westgate road, ahhhhh your thinking of the other hunting shop on the side road near the station, double fronted shop big glass windows, counter was glass too.
  15. Well I used to be like a piece of the furniture in every weekend, there was always a bit of a crack in there, on Grey street Then it was off to kick the table over on the antis spot up around the monument.
  16. No Steve Smiths was directly opposite Bagnell & Kirkwoods on Grey street, or it was 17 years ago.
  17. Is Steve Smiths not opposite Bagnell & Kirkwoods anymore? Fantastic little shop would beat Bagnell & Kirkwoods prices every time.
  18. Maybee the way to solve the problem is to show these youngsters how to work an earth, rather than moaning when all the earth are destroyed? If these youngsters havent been taught by experienced lads what chance do they really have of getting it right?
  19. Hope you get your dog back. It happened to me once, it turned out it was someone I knew who stole the dogs and sold them on to a lad.
  20. Is this the same bull x that was offered for sale the other week in Hartlepool? Didnt he have an injury or something?
  21. I used to have alot to do with the APBT breed including owning a few upto when the dangerous dogs act was brought out for them, then the lot were passed on. Thing with pits is they come in all shapes and sizes, so how anyone can sit and say its not a pit I just dont know? But that also applies for being able to say it is one! The breed is fantastic and its the stigma that comes with the breed thats the problem (always was) too many people want trophy dogs out there and want to boast about owning "such hard dogs". They are the loyalist of breeds I ever owned, never once did mine attack me or an
