Yes it is mate...Will be reviewed shortly in the countrymans...Nearly 200 pages and 48,000 words very comprehensive covering 14 terriermen in the first volume, with another two volumes planned...All top digging men.Plenty of quality pictures.

    gordan mason

Gordon is included in my new book Digging The Dirt which will be out in November...There is a full chapter on his life with terriers... Including the terriers behind his line...Lots of quality pictures to go along side the text.

    New Game dog book

I only published it. Nothing else. I have made it abundantly clear i dont know anything about these types of working dogs. If you don't like the books then please don't buy them. Good Hunting..JD im not saying i dont like the books..i have only seen the four terrier books which i have here..they are good books, dont be so defensive darcy No probs, You have to be defensive!!lol I know the books are far from perfect, but i hope to improve them shortly now that i know what direction i need to go in. I have tried a few experiments with the books in the past few years and digested all feedback, both good and bad. Hopefully they will see a marked improvement. Good Hunting JD i really like dig deep and little dogs with big hearts,i often think it would be interesting for someone to do a modern version of the book..fell terrier,an up to date and in depth book on blood lines, men and terrain..the nearest thing to that i have seen would be the broadhurst book..terriers and terriermen No offence to anyone but I expected a lot more from "Terriers and terriermen" and was by and large dissapointed. It lacked a lot of filling and true content and I felt the author didnt make a good enough effort to ensure this. Keep an eye out for Digging The Dirt... It will fill the gap you mention.

    The Working Border Terrier Club

At last I have some good news for you all...First I must apologise for not giving the club the time it needed over the last 6 months but due to the proud arrival of twins and spending a vast ammount of time on my new book(Digging The Dirt), it got put on the back burner...However things are starting to get back to normal, if there is such a thing. I hope to send out a news letter to those who are members in the next week or so...In that letter will be information on how the club now intends to move forward as well as being able to confirm that i have managed to secure a first class venue for the Working Border Terrier show. That venue is Hatton Country World near to the historic town of Warwick. They have their own website which you can have a look at. Its a great day out there for all the family without the bonus of a terrier and lurcher show. Its still in the early stages and a date will be made available to you as soon as i have it I hope your all as pleased as I am. Regards, Johnny.

    Running A Show

I have managed to secure a first class venue to run The Working Border Terrier show at, one of the things they have requested is to see a copy of my public liability insurance...Does my Countryside Alliance membership cover me? Any advice would be most apreciated...

    Breaking Through

The second line of the article says... From the PUBLISHING group media today...So its all plain and simple really...The trouble is there are people on the site that know All!! About terriers and terrierwork...The best they can do is come on a site like this and try to piss someone off who does...With cheap jibes... Just like yours!!...Thats why I dont post on here all that often.... As I dont suffer fools gladly...To busy writing my next book... "try to piss someone off who does" - know about terriers & terrierwork You're so far up your own arse you don't need anyone else licking it for you. You lied the first time round mentioning having the backing of Dave Harcombe & EDRD. There's alot more knowledgable folk than you on here & if your coloured terriers were any good you wouldn't be giving them up to take a chance on the Borders. Fair play to the likes of MarkP who's choice they were on the from the start. I think the Border Terrier Club is just another opportunity for you to make money & exploit the breed further. It's a shame it takes harsh words for you to come out & answer your critics jonny but for me you've shown what you're really about - money & praise ATB with your future publications, Corky In other words you only come on here when you want to plug something After your barn conversion, is the next book funding an Aston Martin or a villa in Spain? The best thing you can do if you want clarification on Davids opinion of me and the club is to call him and then post his reply on here for all to read...Not that he would entertain a P Like you ...The best thing you can do as I say to all the hit men on here is come introduce yourself one of the days...Come to the club show... How many pups have you seen me advertise for sale...?? We are the proud parents of twin boys now and due to that fact we had to give up the barn project, thats for those that are intrested?? Just for the record I drive a van and work on a building site every day...Do I love my terriers and the work I have done with them for thirty years...YES I DO ! What do you base me wanting to exploit the breed on? How will I make money running the club? What have you done for terriers and terrier work?? Im really proud of the first book and the hundreds of positive feed backs I had...The next book is set to be even better...A great deal of hard work and many many hours of writing...But i enjoy the end product and puting something back into the sport that so many also enjoy...Personally I am not the type of man that would knock anyone for Having a go...Unfortunatlly not the same can be said for everyone...THE GREEN EYED MONSTER RAISES ITS UGLY HEAD AGAIN...
