Cracking Pictures kristian! they're like Spars and will come back to the same wood each year and set up a nest site fairly close to the old one, If the wind doesn't blow the old one's out you can sometimes see a few in the same area, they'll even use old nest sites for plucking on and perhaps dismantle twigs from old nests for a fresh build.... a few captive bred birds from 2006!! the other lads are 100% right they defo Goshawks .. I think they was the All nighter jeans which eventualy ended up with souly badgers on the side ! note the Carling Black Label belt to keep them up . I think the pic was taken around 1976 - 78.... Jasper

It can be difficult David and near on Impossible with some birds which is one of the reasons It never came off with the black Spars! it was simular with the exporting a while back too outside the EU..... I'll now stick my Goshawk lines and Peregrines and save all the hassle unless something comes up I really want atb Jasper

Black sparrowhawks are the one's mate! a lad I know Mark Holder breeds them and has a wild take! just a few pictures he sent me last year when I was thinking of having some Imported over to give you some idea...... Jasper

There's always that chance when you let a bird sit her eggs full term until Hatch huntingnightowl. I take mine after the she has been sitting them for around 8 - 10 days and finish them off in the Incubator, by the time this clutch has pipped in the Incubator the female has recycled on her second clutch, its then a case of rearing the chicks on to around 6 days and placing them back in the nest and pulling the second clutch eggs for Incubation.... Running chicks on for a few days and putting them back when they are a bit more hardy can be the safest way expecially with inexperienced birds.

the news is is full of "Poor Romainian this Poor Romanians that" and how hard done by they are. You can pretty much Gurrantee something sparked it . the difference is the Irish have proved they wont put up and shut up and suffer fools like us lot over here..... it shows that people across the British Isles are getting pissed off and fed up with foreigners getting more rights than people born and bred in our Homelands.........

I think this year I fancy a bit of Grouse hawking with a Kestrel or maybe get out and bowl over some Brownies with a Sparrowhawk . Not sure yet I'll see what I have left in aviaries after the rest have gone Jasper

Not much left now thank goodness LL . Its been Venison with everything at least once a week and done my nut in, I can't beleive how much meat came off them considering I only had a couple and the Muntjack liver ..... Next time they're over I'll give you a shout for you to pick some up.... ATB Jasper

I'm still eating Venison since the last time the lads came down and shot 8 , Venison Burgers, Venison Sausages, Venison and chips :sick:, the Missus did the final back leg the other sunday sticking holes in it and shoved some cloves of Garlic in it....... I'm now sick of the stuff and now feeding alot to the Hawks Jasp

Nice one Jake look like you'll be having some fun . I have 5 finnish birds back with Parents which three look like males! I also have three Finn x Hungarian chicks off and beleive it or not all look like males too, also 4 Peregrines three of which was Tiercels . not good when you consider the amount of effort going into it! its the year of the males for me I'm afraid.......
