  1. without trying to put you off too much I have to say mate if you're planning on setting up a breeding program forget it as you've missed the boat. I have never seen so many Goshawks on the market in all the time I have been in the game as this year , I could see it coming a few years back but its come round quicker than expected, there's alot more birds being bred now exceeding demand, Harris's are also flat on their arse! you'll always shift a few no doubt about it but if you're breeding Goshawks and Parent Rearing them you'll want them gone by their sell by date or you'll get problems. g
  2. I take it Martin you're looking for this years birds untouched out of the aviary? the last thing you want is birds not reared as described or with bad vices. are you also be looking for Imprints? is there also a prefered species you want for your business? Falcons/Harris's ECT? as you probably know depending on what business you're doing some birds will be more suitable than others . Jasp
  3. I don't know any other way! I Hooded a male Harris a few years back when I kept one back for my lad to fly and Hooded all the Goshawks and everything else P/R straight out of the aviary. I think the only birds I never Hooded was Imprint Spars! everything else was made to the Hood . Remember mentioning this on a old forum a good few years ago and had the reply! "Why would you want to Hood a Gos" . suppose if you're taking up Imprints this may be the case but each to their own . Jasp
  4. My Cock was always up the crack of Dawn . seems to have now quietend down with old age
  5. Nightmare Craigy! its funny with all these birds how somtimes you can sense somthing not quite right. I had a problem with a young Goshawk in the nest this year, I put it back with its parents at 4 days and went in at 9 days to ring them, two days later I heard one twittering in the nest but somtimes you can put this down to one being a bit cold, anyway! I thought I better go in the aviary and check! it turns out the chick had a small twig from the nest lodged under its ring, unfortunatly the bird had twisted round and round breaking its leg . to cut a long story short it was a clean break
  6. Oi! thats my bobble hat.

  7. Used Mr Robb on and off for many years for parts like PTFE washers and the like, I would 100% let him loose on it anytime Jasp
  8. It takes two to tango! she knew the score and all the implications when she started shagging him. seems funny why she decided to come out of the woodwork after 8 years just after the Imogen bird scandle . Ka Ching!! all the way to the bank weather its blown her marriage apart or not.....

  12. Pretty Much sums me up loved the Northern Soul and Motown when it was lad too.
  13. think they can all hover for short periods when conditions suit them, then again as mentioned nothing hovers like a Kessy which is designed for the purpose! they have a long tail compared to most falcons and light wing loading which must help
  14. And there was me thinking a silencer muffles the muzzle blast hence stopping the sound traveling forward to the target/quarry . weather it has spring/mechanical noise is besides the point, a decent silencer will 100% do its job on a springer! spring and mechanical noise is a different issue... Get the action tuned and quietend down, makes a huge difference when mated up with a silencer. Jasper
  15. Oh c'mon Someone had to  Totaly lost ya old mate
  16. Just been thinking the gun I had could have been a Anschutz 335S. my brains not what it used to be mate Jasp
  17. Original did a 35 and a 35S, it looks like the S but don't quote me on it . Nice gun mate and bult very sturdy, I had one handed over to me a few years ago which was confiscated off a lad by his father, Unfortunatly his father smashed it before I got it and boy did he smash it good! it was virtually unrepairable. Here's a good lnk for spares mate cheers Jasp click link
  18. thats a good link David . surely the idea of Licencing Air rifles in scotland would be virtually impossible to police? many Airgunners would never come forward if a Licencing system was introduced. There's also the chance that it will spead across the border into England if it was deemed succesfull . definitely one for us all to sit up and take note off.... Jasper
  19. Followed this band on and off for years since their original lead singer "Bon Scott" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5wCaeKrTCU

  21. GWP puppies four dogs available bred from excellent working parents and lines, predominately Danish bloodlines. Dam is my own bitch which I use for falconry. The Sire is Trudvang Balder who is perhaps the top GWP working sire in the UK. a deer stalking / shooting dog and of the same lines as my bitch. The puppies are KC registered, legally docked and come with vets certificate re this. Genuine good quality bloodlines and real nice pups currently nearly 3 weeks old and ready to go approximately end of June. The puppies are £600 each, genuine enquiries welcome without any obligation, but please
