top news mate. It won't be long before he is on a mission soon by the sounds of it, looking forward to seeing you down later in the year bud .........
  2. seems like a disapointing game, thats the trouble with Man U lately!! you never know which team is going to turn up. Don't think the starting team sheet helped much either......

I have a bit of a fetish about them to be honest mate, the only thing that screams louder than the imprints is my missus in the sack! and thats only because she's peeing herself laughing

You've lost me now, guess what? If you're taking the imprint route you wouldn't want to fly this bird, He's steady but you won't get away with the thing you would with a imprint... I have alot of Imprint Goshawks. one of which is now hitting 17 years old. they're used strictly for AI and certainly not for a flying point of view. I'll leave that to you lot who enjoy that sort of thing .......
  5. You was Robbed Malt by a bad ref decision some of fergies team sheets look a bit suspect I must admit, I havn't seen the starting line up but now watching football focus to see what they have to say about it....
  6. 1 - 3 Man Utd..... Kick Off 12.45. Not even Gerard's return can't save the scousers today ..........
  7. Navara all the way . mines the older D22 but the newer D40's are a class act, a pal has one and he showed me his fuel figures on his onboard computer, it was averaging 37MPG. I have no idea how hard he drives it but that was impresive.....
  8. Shocking referee decision that effectivly f****d it for wales . Don't know if its me but I get the impresion most foreign refs or officials don't like UK teams full stop and only need the one excuse.. No f*****g way was that a sending off.......
  9. You'll need to reduce the size of them on your pc Biff if the pic's or file size are more than 700K. I still havn't worked out on my pc how to do it properly so I email the pictures to myself, this gives you the option to make the pictures smaller when sending a email. I then save the picture which is now smaller from my email to a folder which can then be used for other uses like forums or whatever .......

Nice one D . Its been longer than I wanted but with one thing and another and all the boiling weather we had here plus blowing a Hooligan he got held back a bit. won't be flying him today either due to the game shoots all over the place, will be out tomorrow to hopefully get him a bunny........
  11. Is this just the one secondhand system biff or are they advertising new systems to the public? If its proven to be true its probably a good idea to to name and shame on the forum so we all know the score .

Quick update: bird loose now after being held back with one thing amd another earlier on aswel as weather. popped out ferreting yesterday on a mates land and no joy so gave him some calls backwards and forwards between me and a pal. today a bit keener and a different story! didn't get a good bolt due to the land being ferreted was mainly hedge rows, the f*****g things bolted stright out along the hedge and into another , one was taken on the arse but made it to cover! the good thing is he wants them so its going to be pretty soon when a Bunny meets its maker . 15. Remember a old Falconer telling me many years ago how they put a Tiercel Peregrine over a small copse which held some magpies, a few lads walked the wood to push the Magies out of the other end while the tiercel waited on, it turned out there was two at the start but by the time they reached the end one could only be found, this Magpie had been pushed into a small hawthorn at the edge of the copse, I remember him telling me even with some men under the tree virtually poking it with sticks the bird still wouldn't flush, the strangest thing he told me is the magpie seemed to vent its frustration
  16. When it comes to Derbys I Have heard the Sunderland v Newcastle games can get a bit tastey........
  17. Looks like a couple of Road kill Sparrowhawks on the table for his next supper http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2048527/Owl-curry-adder-butter-stir-fried-craneflies-Meet-man-survived-diet-roadkill-30-YEARS.html
  18. A "Hawk Walk" would be ideal plus you could also arrange a Hunting day with most of the companies, this is one in the Yorshire area I just googled up but if you type "Hawk Walk" in you'll probably find you closer to where you are . If its Hunting he likes I'm sure most could get him out on a days Hunting....... Jasp http://www.hawkwalk.co.uk/hawkwalk.html

    mews heating

Never used any heating with the Harris Hawks or any other shello, I can only speak for myself but when they're perched up well of the ground in the mews they're fine. mind you I have heard some Horror stories when HH'S are teathered in their weathering when the weather is well below Minus, the simple solution for this is to cover the front of the weathering keeping out the ground frost .
  20. The only thing you can do at the moment paul is keep it quiet somehwere warm in a cardboard box overnight. does it feel sharp on its keel like the bird has gone light underweight?. If it is this could well be why its not flying due to being weak, shame you didn't know anyone near by with some chicks you could skin back for it, even some lean pigeon breast could help it if its not too low... if not the links below might be able to put you intouch with someone in the area who could help, Good luck with it mate .... http://www.britishfalconersclub.co.uk/contact/ http://www.indep

    Benefits

I know 100% where you are coming from as my enthusiasm about the birds is no where near what it used to be, I like to get out and do some different field sports these days for a break . spaniels and Hawks go well together! sounds like you're on the button with your spaniels so I'm sure you would form a perfect Hunting partnership between you, dog and hawk ....
  22. A father executes the man that killed his son, Is this justice or way over the top? http://www.dailymail...tice-rules.html
  23. Spoke to a keeper about it a good few years ago after my old Redtail nearly caught one, he said the same they was only down to mark down the Pheasants and seemed happy with me catching them. Not sure if its true but he told me they do nothing but fight compared to the norm and also wander out a bit taking other birds with them? I never ever caught one but over the year they totaly disapeared off the Estate.......
  24. play with fire some day you'll get burned . looks like a dangerouse pastime .......
