Reading through the posts I think I allow my kids far too much free Gadget time, they come in and start texting or emailing straight away, its also the first thing they do when they get up. I even called my lads bedroom "The Crypt" because he never moves from it except to eat and drink . I would now go as far as to say they are addicted, the problem is as my missus said what else are they supposed to do? I live slap bang in the middle of nowhwere completely away from civilisation. this time of the year ther kids carn't go in the woods due to the Pheasants and pretty much have nowt to do, e

  9. I had their first album Andy which I used to listen to in the car before the times of CD's, fook knows what it was called but it had all the oldies on there like "Fluffy Pup" and another about Mcdonalds? top band that used to have me nearly crashing the car .............

  12. Must say mentors was pretty thin on the ground when I was a lad. I spent alot of time reading books from the Library and attempting to make equipment which was all good practice, never used almeri's either then but only used traditional jesses knocked up. could only find a couple of suppliers then too. I always had birds as a lad from Jackdaws, Carrion crows, Kestrals, Sparrowhawks. remember my dad getting me a cage when I was a kid with some zebra finches in, they never did it for me as they wasn't wild, it was always the wild birds that fascinated me. still have to say! after all the

Its still earley yet mate and pretty mild so obviously no rush, plus stll lots of cover . I'm sure he will mann down nicely if he was a tad lower to get him to focus more. the day he was wipping across on the creance he was 1lb 11 1/4, at that weight he's more than happy to come to me but will need a tad more to bring him into slightly better condition....
  14. Looks like you're on a mission there shello . thats simular to where I used to live, the ground was up at one end and needed leveling which was a nightmare! it turned a easy job into a marathon but I got there in the end, it will all be worth it in the end mate.... Jasp

Makes a whole lot of sense LG . My daughter is 12 going on 18 in the way she acts . think I also made the mistake of spoiling them, I get the impresion with mine they don't apreciate anything anymore. I'm sure they think money grows on trees and we have nothing else to spend money on. Putting that aside the one thing that annoys me is the total lack of comunication, I get a better conversation from the pet Canary

I've chilled a bit now mate about it and can now manage a rye smile but still a bit shocked by her attitude. this was a Hamster I brought her for a surprise! no doubt about it she loved it and spent hours with it which is why I expected a different reaction, its all water under the bridge now, she changed a bit when I buried it for her. My lads 15 and daughter 12, I offered on many occasions to take my boy shooting, hawking, fishing and even gave him a choice of a Air Rifle under my supervision or a Computer for xmas a couple of years ago, surprise! surprise! he chose the computer, I was a

is it just my kids or are they all like this these days. my kids come in from school walk straight into the room and either start texting on their mobile's, or go upstairs and straight on the computers on facebook or whatever. my lad will also sit on his XBOX 24/7 if I let him. today was unbelevable. My daughter has had a pet hamster for a good 3 years which finally today popped its clogs, when I looked at it this morning it looked pretty ill so I spent hours warming it through and doing everything to save it thinking how much it would upset her. she finally came in from school so I sat he
  18. Nothing wrong with people disagreeing with each other P&J, the world would be a bad place if we all agreed on everything. nobody spat their dummies out or got abusive in this thread so its nothing seriouse to get concerned about. not come across a forum yet where there hasn't been a disagreement in one way or another..........

Well my boy has come on in fits and starts since taking him up but now tittering on his first maiden flight, he still needs a little more manning but this will come when he is loose with some more work, apart from that he's a diamond. He Hoods well and excepts most things aswel as other people around him, he excepts my dogs but still has a bate or two when the posty arrives in his van . stuck him on the creance yesterday and couldn't get a few steps before he was on me, got the missus to hold him today while I moved out around 30ft and he was instant each time, finished him off on the rest

  24. Some more info on this link, seems the Burglars entered the house and dragged the guy around the property before it kicked off . WTF was the man supposed to do when put in this position.. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3824075/Burglar-killed-by-dad-was-after-Rolex-50k.html Anyone remember this simular case? back then Tony Martin was sentenced to life for defending his property, it wasn't until a public outcry he got released. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/norfolk/3087003.stm
