  6. I've always found the small ones the fiestiest little buggers like said above. I kept the runt from my first litter (a polecat jill now named Polly) But I knew a guy who would kill the runt when it was weaned as 'it is only good for drowning' !?!?!?! ATB Jordan

  8. No mate they wont best leave it until next season to be safe. They're bones will need to set and muscle would need to develop more to put up with a kicking from a rabbit. Think about it would you work a lurcher at about 4 -5 months old and not expect to ruin it or it get injured? Good luck with them though. ATB Jordan
  9. How could he have fallen for that I do not know
  10. I get it everyday when im out walking my girlfriend GSD/Husky its all because he has pointy ears and a dark face makes no sense to me. Theres always this woman with two spaniels running around all over the place in the barley all over the road then they come over to the dogs and start. My two finish it and iv got to drag a 40lb collie cross and a 60lb GSDmix off of these dogs by myself and she is miles away plugged in not a care in the world! If her dogs get killed its her fault so she better not start! Its the same when you walk down the street people drag there dogs away from yours even if t

  13. Aaron, give me young Spike next time I see you and I'll show you. The idea is to get a 6ft strong lead and collar and have your right hand in the loop (handle) and the left 6 inches from the collar, when the dog surges ahead you drop the lead with your left and about turn without saying anything, the dog reaches the end of the lead and receives a check, you then loop the lead back into position and repeat the about turn when the dog surges in the opposite direction. Its difficult to explain over a pc but give me Spike for 2 minutes when I see you in June and i'll show you a couple of methods
  14. Like kingkeeper21 said you could always attempt at making a trap. Or just snare the wee b*****d. ATB Jordan
  15. I had the police drive right past me in their brand new range rover sport and I was poaching with the ferrets, dog and nets. Quite clear what I was doing and they started slowing down as the approached, Im standing there thinking 'shite shite shite' last thing I needed was another conviction for anything and im f****d so I held tight but the slowed right down to near stopping speed and the two bobby blokes were pointing at the gear and the ferret working the burrow, then looked at me with two big grins and thumbs up!!!! that was a relief But when I do go for a bit at night with the dog Im al
  16. I imagine the horses are taken in. and to be honest a few bodyless bunnies aint a big deal as long as they're gone I thinl is her main concern. I dont have a gun at the moment so thats not possible. I was thinking drop box and snares (possibly a few fenns mk6 in the difficult warren?) Cheers Jordan
  17. I know it aint a lurcher but I have a collie/springer and he's a really game dog great for ferreting with. Also the other day he spotted a big buck rabbit running up a tractor track in a field about 30 yards away and getting further slipped him on it and before i knew it he had caught up and had turned and pinned the big fecker for me to neck (unfortunately we havent quite got the hang of retriving caught game but its getting better day by day) The only down side is that he sometimes gets far too carried away in the chase that when he catches it he crunches it and will try and eat it (thank go
  18. Right well Iv had this permission for a while for ferreting and its about 20-30 acres of fields for horses at the stables near the bottom of my road. There is only one warren on the entire place which is right next to a road and is a major pain in the arse to get to as netting it is the height of impossible. I havent been there in a while as it wasnt a serious job just something to do in my spare time (as I have other jobs to do else where) Ive recently noticed that the rabbots there are on the increase so I thought I'd ask what they thought if I was to trap/snare the rabbits. What would be th
