took the pup out for a walk today and remembered to take the camera for a change ... she will be 6 months next saturday so i decided to take a little of the puppy fat off her .... she is starting to look like a nice type of dog .... well here are some pics for the people that asked ..............

this is my beast ... will go anywhere off road with tons of pulling power ... had a few different 4x4's includeing a pajero ... toyota ... disco etc but this 90 is the best i have had so far .........

tripe is %70 water and no good for bulking out a puppy ... give the pup a good worming and then feed a chicken based diet with added veg fruite and wholemeal bread ... break the meal down and feed 4 times a day ... i guarentee you will see a difference in 10 days ..........

a couple of you guys have mentioned make sure taht the dog has plenty of carbohydrates ..... WHY dogs are not human and dont derive their energy needs from carbs they get their energy from FATS ...... CLIP that dogs diet sounds ok to me and you certainly dont need to be adding any carbs as the dog is getting plenty from the balanced diet you are feeding allready .........

yes mate point i was trying to make was they are bred very similar but look very much different ........ -
surely by chastising the dog for putting his head down a hole to mark you are sending him the message that it is wrong and you dont want it doing this thus ending up with a non marking dog as the dog can understand what you want it to do .... dog goes to hole to sniff for rabbits you chastise everytime it does this ... result non marking dog .... and what about when the weather is blowing a gale and the dog needs to put his head into the hole to pinpoint the rabbits scent ??? at the end of the day each dog has its own uniqe way of marking whether its scratching at the holes head in or just a p

JUCKLER how do you teach a dog NOT to stick his head in a whole when he is marking ????? and why get rid of a perfectly good working ferret after a few seasons and get young inexperienced ones in ?????? there is no way i would swap my workers for youngsters ...........

dog food has nothing in the way of nutrients for a ferret and is nearly as bad as feeding bread and milk ... tripe is made up of mostly water and isnt much better if you cant feed carcass and cant find ferret food then feed cat complete meal .... much higher in protein and better for the ferret ...........

i decided to introduce the pup to the air rifle today because as an all round mooching dog i will expect her to accompany me on my shooting forays and retrieve any game shot whether it be fur or feather. i particularly wanted her to retrieve a small corvid as i find that out of all the game a dog has to retrieve the corvid family is the least palatable to a dog maybe its the dusty feathers ??? it was a very windy start to the morning and there wasnt a lot about except for the numerouse rabbits that bounded straight for home as we crunched through the fallen leaves in the wood, just as i t
