    dont you just love it ,especially that socks .hes the best on here 5000 shushies ,and the dawg got half of em Seeing as I catch rabbits for a living all year round thats very believable ... an average of 150 rabbits a week over 40 weeks comes to 6000 rabbits so pretty easy to do realy and that's without my weekend hunting on the plains which normally equates to a hundred rabbits .... I have had 4 guys on this site work with me over the last few weeks and between the both jobs which took 15 days we killed over 400 rabbits ......     THAT to me sounds about right, in 12 month thats good going mate,, In the earlier post people catching 1500 are telling porkies but when socks says he's catching over double that you say thats about right. you should make your mind up. Are you a bit slow,,lol,,Around the 700 mark in a season, with 1 dog, A season a round the 5 month mark,,I CAN SEE IT BEING DONE, Socks add 7 more month at it,, to get round the 1500 mark,,,Do you get it now,, You wud not be a very good accountant....     In my opinion a veteran should be allowed to compete for best in show it is after all a mature developed dog with seasons under it belt where as a puppy hasnt developed physically or mentally and can no way compete against dogs in their prime it's just common sense ............

    Actually just looked at the log books and it is closer to 5000 rabbits a year so the dog averages 2,500 ..............

    I normally average around 3,500 rabbits a year and I would say the dog accounts for around half of them so that's a fair few in a lifetime .............

    Tegan is 50lbs the dog is 26 1/2 ... He is a get up and at them type dog but can sit on them for as long as it takes to do the job a very clever runner that misses very little .......

    The dog is a line bred saluki grey and has some very famouse coursing dogs in the pedigree and his great grandmother was a waterloo cup winner I have seen the dog work on numerouse occasions and he is top draw ..... Myself and Chalkie watched him retrieve a tracked hare that took over 3 minuets and 5 minuets later the dog was working a warren as if it had been ferreting for years ...........
