    It was lovely and dark here at 3 am loads of cloud strong wind and a slight drizzle ... I got in mate had a shower and was back out on a rabbit and squirrel job I didn't have time to gut them ... I just did them .........

    After giving up trying to sleep last night I took the youngster Tilly for a quick spin ... The ground was heavy and slippery but she did well to finish with 25 in the bag and only missed 3 all night .........

    It's got nothing to do with being an over bearing parent it's got to do with quietly letting the lad know where he stands when it comes to your daughter ... All three of my girls are sensible and wouldn't dream of dating some local scrote BUT that doesn't mean that I am going to completely ignore who they are seeing ... As a father I want to know that when my girls are out with their fella they are completely safe and I don't have to worry ... AS for driving them away it's the complete opposite ... Your daughters will always be daddy's little girl and they want to feel looked after and protect

    Well said mate, nothing worse than over powering parents, just a form of bullying. The hardest part of parenting IMO isn't bringing them up, it's letting them go. The last thing I'd want is my daughter to be embarrassed to bring a boyfriend home to meet me cos I might act like macho man. More chance of them not telling you if the relationship turns sour. Its nothing to do with being a Macho man its about letting the young man know you won't have him messing your daughter around ... If his spine falls out his arse because your giving him the cold shoulder then he isn't going to be much use at

    Well I have got 3 girls 21, 19 and 17 and I treat all their boyfriends the same ... With utter indifference and an air of contempt ... They are not my mates they won't be my mate and at my daughters age they probably won't end up being their future husband so I ain't going to start getting all cosey and pally pally with them ... They are not allowed to stay at my house and I make it pretty plain that if they mess my girls around all hell will visit them with a vengeance ...     Did anybody see Yukon men last week where the fella found two of his pups dead and he reckoned it was parvo ... As he didn't have any jabs and the nearest vets are hundreds of miles away ... He watered down chlorine and boiled the pups food up in it ... He reckoned that the chlorine killed the parvo infection in the pups guts .........
