    Well after triggers post about his 4 month old pup catching on the lamp I decided to see if my cloud pup was ready .... It was a stormy night last night and I felt sure she was ready for the rigours of lamping so I gave her a go ... Do you think I pushed her to far with this bag of game ......

    Ok I will stop being a tit for a second ... What would a gun dog bring to the table that isn't already available ??? Not a lot .... They hunt primararly by scent a hound does that better ... Their soft mouthed ... ok if your only after rabbits ... Great in water ... You don't catch many rabbits in the river ... Easy to train ... So are collies ... Extra speed no ... Extra stamina no ... Good feet no ... Anything they can add conformation wise no ... Lots of inbreeding problems with hips etc ... A decent coat yes ... For me there is nothing they bring to the table that isn't already there .....

    Pears ripen from the inside out so if you left them on the tree until they were soft they would be gone past eating ... you have to pick them when hard around this time of year and put them on a shelf and allow them to ripen over about a ten day period ... I will be picking all the pears off my tree tomorrow .... Picked around half the plumbs today bloody delicious too ........

    We have had a nest above my back door for the last 3 years and this year they have built another nest and are in the process of rearing a second clutch ... In between the first lot of young leaving and the second near being built we have had patio doors fitted in the living room that looks out onto my back garden ... Over the last 3 days the swallows have flown in through the patio doors circled around my living room along the hallway and out of the back door to feed their young ... Anybody else had this happen to them ........

    I don't think tiercels was a natural branch looking one but I could be wrong ... I would think a natural looking one would be easier to make as there are not so many perfect cuts and lines etc .......
