I'm not hiding behind anything fella and I'm so not reporting to silly digs and jibes and name calling like you ... I understand dogs perfectly it's not just luck that I raise and work well balanced dogs of all breeds. Anyway you have your notions and obviously believe your correct. You keep spending an hour a day with your pups and I will continue spending all day with mine.

Well the dog game is never easy and that's the second dog in as many weeks that I've had to put to sleep. Tilly ruptured her Achilles tendon over 18 months ago and I've spent a lot of money and time trying to get her back to full fitness but today I had to admit defeat and let her go. She is up there with if not the best dog I've owned. Fiercely loyal easy going and caught masses of amounts of all type of game. she was 110% on everything she did and although I knew by her do or die style that she wouldn't make old bones I didn't think she would go in her prime. RIP Tilly.

All the above problems you name are down to bad sociolising as pups and could have easily been averted. Here's a simple analogy. Take collies, now you go into any remote farm and chances are the collie on that farm is going to bite you ... why ? Because it has had very limited contact with humans and so sees anybody as a threat ... yet the same breed attends crufts in their thousands to compete in agility dance and obedience and all are perfectly happy walking amongst hundreds of thousands of strangers. Why ? Early sociolising.

Can't train a dog to retrieve ... You've got me mixed up with somebody else fella ... I've been around dogs and studied them all my life ... I've got a degree in canine psychology I've worked dogs with the army and I spend all day every day with dogs and you my good man are talking shit ... trying to compare a fox (vulpine) with a dog (canine) shows how little you know ......
