    No as it was supposed to of been 3miles away at another village.When I lamped it I don’t know what it had but it was like watching a kitten playing with a ball of wool.Once I noticed the colour of its eyes on the lamp I knew it wasn’t a fox or something as they were like a yellow glare not red.The man I was with he said what it was at 1st but I I thought it couldn’t be.I climbed over the fence and started walking towards it with the lamp on and it just sat staring at me.The hairs were up on the back of my neck as I though it was going to come towards me,but I think the noise off the stubble sc

    Spennymoor Co Durham and it was the beginning of November 1985,as it was days before my 15th birthday and at the time it was a hot thing in the northern echo newspaper up here.They called it the Durham puma and they made a program about it.When I watch the program it showed dots on the map of people up and down the country that has seen one.At that time going off the program there must of been 7 I think up and down the country in the November.So there is something about it.

    I enjoy this thread as I said previous on this I seen 1 35yrs ago whilst I was 15 when out lamping,When I look at the time it was 1985 and there was 4 of us it’s when they had bought these exotic pets out of the exchange and mart paper.And like greyman has said they have probably seen how much it was costing to keep one then ya needed a license,so the simple thing to do was release and say nothing.Like I said before I was in the right place at the right time and can remember it like yesterday.We went to the police station to tell them and all the desk Sargent was interested in was us poaching.

    The few I’ve seen over the years the owner say they are protective and good house dogs,I had an American come to mine a good few years ago to see my borders just before the ban.He used his on them wild boar competitions.

    You want to think in the 60s-70s there was a lot of exotic pets for sale in the exchange and mart.A lot of them were purchased from there and some released on the Yorkshire moors to,the last one they can trace was a Man from Scarborough who apparently did release it on there.

    Took our teckle to the vets about 2mths ago as she was struggling to pee,she was 5mths at the time they asked what the problem was so I said I think she might have a water infection.They checked her and came back with some metacam and said she might be coming into season £63.I went mental with them as they didn’t even check to see if she had an infection.

    Exactly mate all the vets say it can cause cancer but I’ve never seen it,and even with 1 nut they still filled a pram and never effected there off spring

    They say it can cause cancer mate but in 40yrs of having dogs I’ve never seen one get cancer or stop them from working,but ya never know.

    I’m putting them under the dog boxes which will be sealed into there which will be warm,When I build the new shed/kennel it will be 20ft long 10ft wide with a partition so they will be 10x10 each with french doors on the kennels and a double glazed door and window on the shed side.If it doesn’t work I will just put a radiator type thing in the kennel side.But it will be all insulated either way

    How will it make it colder when warm air is going through them.When it works in big greenhouses as I’ve been in sheds with a tube heater in and they have been quite warm.

    The heat should travel through the tube like a radiator pipe.ive know some of the old boys use it like that for there greenhouses or use a tiny candle and work the same way.As you know heat will travel

    I’m going to put the tube heater in the she and run the ducting under the dog box floors through the side of the shed then fit the tube heater half way in the ducting.The heat will travel though the ducting like under floor heating into the dogs boxes and heating the shed at the same time.

    When I build my new one in a couple of weeks I’m going for that type but put half of it in one of them silver tubes that you put up the chimney,so it will be under the kennels so it will heat the shed up and the kennels.Ive hears it works a treat.

    Why are you getting into the game now mate when it’s f****d if I was you I would keep to ya fishing,unless you know someone who lamps then just go out with them so you don’t need a dog and share the quarry.Belive me you will get some of the idiots will tell you this that and the other but good luck I feel sorry for you.
