  1. Do you think its a good idea to kennel a lurcher and terrier together ? Just have heard a few horror stories over the years. I no i wouldn't kennel my terrier with my lurcher.
  2. It prob went to court due to a witness who was in his garden, and is affiliated to neither side.
  3. lol, so theres no english scum doing this sort of shit ?
  4. Even if her lover was KD lang ?
  5. I love cooking, i'll have a got at anything. I've a hole butchered pig in the freezer at the moment, so going to give pork belly a go tomorrow, any tips ?
  6. When i moved out here 12 years ago, i knocked on a farmers door asking for ferreting permission, and he just said "fcuk off" and shut the door in my face lol. I do have that permission now though, only took 9 years to get it :-)
  7. I do hope so as i totally agree that the simple problems would of been so easy for deben to solve. I rewired mine totally 4 years ago, and its been going great guns ever since. Mine came with a 50w swapped to a 100w then followed advice from some one on moochers and went back to 50w and found it was better as mine was designed for it. Also they were misuse issues in nearly all cases, overs were from dents, and some are unexplained. When using lithium batteries, cheap is not best, as a lot of the chinese ones on the market are recycled and repackaged to look new. Still i have no d
  8. Far more problems have come from the smaller single cell lithium batteries, as i also use them in my electric cigarettes, and the forums for those are full of horror stories of exploding batteries, they are enclosed in the same tubes the torches are, so be fairly carefull with them, dents and blocked vent holes can create problems. They are not real single cells either, open one up when its dead, you will find it is stacked smaller batteries. I'm not one of those ninja types, more a lump in boots, so distance is still an issue for me :-) Strikers were developed to use 50ws not 1

    Game larder

A cool dry, stable temprature, fly free place to hang meat and game.
  10. They do contain lithium batteries, so that problem is still present, in a small pocket sized pipe bomb type container. But maybe we are looking at this from different angles, for a shooter, i supppose they are already as good, to some one running a dog, the bigger beam of the striker is better. The tourches are certainly better as a package, small, and wire less as you say. But the beam is not as good imho for running a dog. i also find the striker works better with a 50w bulb, not a 100w
  11. and you feel the led is better ? or just nearly as good ? Sure they are coming on well, and will soon rival, and one day surpass the striker, but that day is not yet here imho.
  12. Jesus H Christ, not to embarrassing to shout out when recall fails.
  13. Because they are marginally better than the old mini head light and acid burns down ya back lol. The led torches are good, but they are still no where near a striker, sure i would use one over a cluelight, but they suck compared to a striker
  14. Really, no lamping battery should get wet, i would of thought that a bit obvious lol. mine is in a waterproof bag, inside a ruck sac, and no matter the weather, it stays nice snug and dry :-) You can get nice cheap waterproof bags from sainsburys tesco and even morrisons lol
  15. I'll second the not putting a lithium battery on a radiator, or in a hot boiler room. Warm, yes, hot, no. The rice is the best way to go here.
  16. I'm contemplating a pure saluki as my next working dog.
  17. So the dogs were kept in an allotment ? Is that a common thing up there ? Seems odd you would keep your dogs away from where you stay, with no one about at night, ever ? I wonder if it was a local pissed off with the barking and whining of the dogs left there unmanned ?
  18. i use an old camera case bought from a charity shop
  19. Did any take your fancy big dog ?
  20. lol, would be slightly better if it just read "i am an idiot" but funny none the less.
