  5. my whippet lurcher i like a robust lurcher and am happy to sacrifice a little speed to gain other qualities
  6. i have allways liked whippets. but for f**k sake reading this thread you would think they are wonder dogs ( rose coloured glasses) they are pot fillers. rabbit catchers. speed merchants. and at that job they are great to watch. on the other hand they cut up badly cold wet weather is hard on them and they are to light to cleanly kill bigger stuff. these are things i have observed first hand. yes they are tough little buggers. but they arnt biult for it so that can go against them also. espesially with over zealous owners. this is based on watching quite a few whippet and whippet crosses.

  11. if any of my dogs make the grade i would use an outcross or crossbred plummer . if i couldnt find a suitable pure plummer. going off topic though so back to molly. here's to many years of work from her.
  12. what aloads of bollocks good and bad in all breeds, seen some nuttal wheelers and black pats refuse to work to ground this year, that said plummers aswell, luck of the draw and good working breeding, Like i said any terrier will work fox i think in the right hands the percentage would go up. but there will always be failures in any breeding. some dogs just wont do it no matter how you bring em on.
