Yes ive seen most of Vinny,s fights my young nephew was training him when he was with Paul Cook but he,s got a bit above himself lately following his brother to go with Frank Warren....he,s had a lot of time out with injury and other problems....thats the trouble a lot of these youngsters are turning pro far too early and spending time treading water to get where they would have been anyway if they,d stayed amateur a while longer. Nothings in writing with Kevin but personally i think he,ll probably have a rematch with Katsidis around March and if that go,s well no reason why he shouldnt chall

I was quite surprised Price was a stong favorite to win 4/11.....I actually think its a decent test for price......if he can keep the fight long he,ll probably stop Mcdermott mid rounds but if Big John rushes him and gets in close it will be interesting as im not sure Price chin really been tested yet and he was down a lot in the amateurs....whos training Price these days gte ?

No like i say mate if its a fighter north of Watford i dont really pay much attention....shame that but its part of the discipline i know its hard for these young lads but if you live the life you dont find yourself in those positions its the sacrifices that make the difference sometimes.....still a tough one for the boy hopefully it wont be a permanent thing. In fairness Murray wasnt 100% against Kevin he was out on the piss 2 weeks out and 14 lb over.....again,the sacrifices can be the difference,that said stylistically i think Mitchell had his number anyway.

Plong,i dont mean to sound a dick but ive been a gym owner around 12 years.....3 different well established gyms over the years used by a good standard of lifter both clean and juice.....without sounding like im blowing my own horn ive had plenty experience in both the boxing game and competetive bodybuilding after that,enough to say i think i know a little about the fitness game Firstly you say steroids improve your strength....they dont !.....if you take steroids but dont continually lift heavier and heavier weights ( progressive resistance being a clue ),eat the correct diet,get the appro

To be honest mate i dont really follow the amateurs only a few of the local boys so no ive never seen him box but i remember having a chat with someone a while back about him i think he was only a touch behind Anthony Joshua for the olympics.....Joshua is a good talent who id expect to go pro after the Olympics so paves the way for Clarke.....isnt he from Bristol or somewhere,anyway best of luck to him if he,s a friend/relative etc

Think your a bit hung up on this whole steroids thing mate.......why would Khan go to a gym on the other side of the world to take steroids,he could do that in his bedroom if he wanted !.....what he couldnt do in his bedroom is dip into the knowledge and talent of one of the worlds best trainers,which is my guess why he went there.....his defence looked a lot better,not perfect but far better than his backing up in straight lines,walking in square at the shoulders like he did with Prescott. Incidentally.......id love to know what these steroids are that enable you to take a better punch ?

Thats just the nature of crossing dogs mate your playing the genetic lottery......its like when folk breed littermates of a cross they think they are inbreeding when in reality that brother and sister maybe have very little actual shared genetics due to the way genes fall when crossing unrelated dogs within the same breed let alone different breeds altogether. The original question i was asking i meant purely from a physical point of view with all else being equal regards breeding/working talent etc........from what ive seen a very racey individual of a 50/50 cross retains more inherent stren

ok lets put it another way....you have the choice of 2 young untried dogs......one is a straight 50/50 cross but is a physically more racey specimen......and the other is naturally a 3/8 cross.....and you knew nothing to the background of either......so purely a physical thing..... would the 50/50 cross retain more natural strength due to the heavier % of bull even though its a racey looking dog than a 3/8 dog would have ..........if you get what im saying

Bang on always makes me laugh when a fighter gets decked folk jump up and shout " glass jaw ".....boxings about hitting and not getting hit.... not hitting and seeing how hard you can get hit back......Amir Khan had no defence whatsoever when he was sparked out.....now hes gone away and got himself a defence folk are saying he,s on steroids .........its a bit like Arsenal .....good on the offence but no defence at all

I agree with that.....he,s only young he,s got plenty of time......the last thing he needs to do is get involved in one of these freakshow fights that the " public want to see "....f**k all that.........if he did take a fight like that it would prove where his confidence is at........... take a silly fight with harrison now for what would be a decent payday .......or have the confidence to know he can earn 10 x that later on if he keeps winning.

Yes but they dont have to pay anything is what im saying mate and we all know the risks as soon as the gloves go on........no other country or boxing commission does......id like to see the kid given anything he wants but the reality is he has a better quality of life than others who have had a lot less......i mean getting no money for being dead dont get much worse does it but the local community got out and saw to it that Bradley Stones family were seen alright,he was a kid out of the flats with nothing but his family have been looked after.......i dont know what the local area did for Paul

Just out of interest mate.....do you wish you had played it different ?.....i mean,if you have something to hide then yes you did the right thing.......but if you dont....maybe letting them in,being friendly then calling them c**ts after they had gone might have been a better option...... Thats from the bbbc that doesnt include what he,s had through the brain and spine foundation....dont forget the fundraising from that has to be spread around 20 odd other fighters as well.......what more could they have done it was his chosen profession like any other,and its 100 % more than any other country does........id be happy for these boys to have everything they want or need,but its worth remembering Bradley Stones mum got nothing because of the private insurance he had........and she never saw her son again. Our board of control does more than any other countries mate thats for sure
