He did yes but he wasnt a Terry Lawless fighter John was managed by George Francis.....George also had the likes of Mugabi,Boza Edwards......later on of course George,Frank Black Earnie Fossey Jimmy Tibbs Dean Powell etc etc were all affiliated with the Royal Oak in one way or another.

Before making big sweeping statements its always best to make sure they are actually true ...you say Calzaghe " never in his career had the luxury of Duff or Lawless working in tandem ".........exactly who do you think Calzaghe turned pro with and won his first 11 or 12 fights ?.....yes you got it Terry Lawless and Mickey Duff !.......i was lucky enough to pick Terrys brains in detailed conversations over many years.....i remember him once telling me the greatest talent he ever worked with was Joe Calzaghe,he also said he regretted losing him but as was well known Terry was very protective of

I thought id said if Froch could get inside and make it a war he had a good chance but if he couldnt and it became a skillful boxing match he was likely to come unstuck............................he couldnt get inside and couldnt make it a war,hence it turned out the way i thought ...if you got nothing to say about the subject we was talking mate thats fine but dont just start any old shit argument just for the sake of it.

Why do Calzaghe worshippers always refer back to Jeff Lacey ...he was a good prospect when Calzaghe fought him yes.....but has proved he never was real top class he couldnt take a round off Taylor or a 40 year old Roy Jones so he was hardly a scalp was he !....best fight in British boxing history it was a 1 way walk in the park !......he was defending an unbeaten record you cant deny it he doesnt even deny it himself !....he might have beaten Froch and Benn on the same night with 1 hand tied behind his back we will never know..... but for competetive spirit he wasnt in their league.

You call it a cheap shot i call it the truth......Calzaghe probably would of beat Froch......but sadly nobody will ever know,just the same as nobody will ever know if he could of beat Jones or a peak Hopkins.......the beauty of what Frochs done by not ducking folk and not protecting an unbeaten record is you retire knowing how good you was instead of retiring with more questions than answers......like Calzaghe has.

Where he go,s now i would imagine is back to the gym to try and improve and come back better thats just the nature of a fighter......he has plenty left and doesnt fear losing fights so he,s had a few losses now big deal its part of the game when you dont duck anybody and fight opponents in their prime,at least he didnt quit at the top to protect an unbeaten record like some do The trouble is when your a fighter in your heart like id imagine Froch probably is counting your money takes a boring second place to getting smacked on the chin and he can still get in great shape so why stop doing wh

Went pretty much as i thought.... Froch gave it a go he wasnt outworked he wasnt out gamed he was just well beaten on pure boxing ability theres no shame in that......His footwork looked a little slow meaning he was never in the right position to get his shots off but thats what clever fighters do they keep you off balance and looking awkward they could fight 10 times and Ward would probably find a way to beat him every time....you can match somebody for guts strength and desire but pure boxing ability will always shine through in the end. Really looking forward to this fight Ward is the tidier more complete fighter and is certainly favorite to win but you can never write off a fighter with Frochs heart,durability and desire.....if he can take Ward into the trenches he,s got a good chance....if he stands back and tries to box with him he,ll probably come undone. Wish him all the luck in the world anyway.

So whats the problem with what the man does away from boxing ?....nothing has ever been found in his system before during or after a fight what else is their to talk about......it sounds soft saying it in this day and age but from what ive known of Nigel Benn he is not a man who lies or cheats his way through life yes he has done some daft things away from sport but nobodies perfect and that dont make him guilty of something just because he doesnt want to tell lies. I feel Khan is still very much effected by the Prescott ko he suffered......personally i never felt Khan had a bad chin he just had a bad defence........i think this has been proven as he is taking some good punches of late and not moving....too many !......his constant calling his opponent on and standing on the ropes taking shots is not something he should be doing he doesnt need to prove he can take punches. Absolutely not..........Nigel Benn was a true competitor who never feared losing a fight......he wanted the big fights and always wanted to test himself,he desperately wanted the Roy Jones fight even though he knew Jones was a far superior fighter.......this is not the attitude of a man who is willing to desperately cheat to win i believe Benn was a true sportsman.....................so he was friendly with a few well known lads into steroids so what......sometimes folk put 2 and 2 together and make 5 a lie dont become truth just because it keeps getting repeated.

Obviously in normal random testing blood is taken in the normal manner.........but you said yourself they tested blood off the shoe..........if they had seriously thought it was Benns blood it wouldnt of been difficult to cross examine.........some stories tell themself.

Blood testing is far more likely to detect a banned substance than urine testing is....its also far harder to beat through masking than a urine test is.....wada ( anti doping something or other ) list around 500 substances,precursors and masking agents...... their blood screening is judged in parts per billion which if i remember right the equivalent is half a teaspoon of liquid in an olympic size swimming pool....................so yes they could find steroids in dried up blood off a shoe

Its normally " experts " appointed by the rspca................in reality they are people who have spent their lives stuffing sweets into their dogs face in front of the telly and have absolutely no understanding of a keen boisterous athletic dog and take anything thats not laying on their back wanting their belly rubbed as a sign of aggression ! I agree about a dog thats not protecting................theres no place for a human aggressive dog or reason to keep one.

Its only 100 % proof that somebody close to Mcllellen that night was taking steroids......was it matched to Benn,no..............have a look at some of the lumps in and around Mcllellens corner and its highly likely to have come from his own camp.....

Apparently Mcllellen was a bit of an arse....didnt deserve what he got of course but wasnt the nicest of characters he was one of these soppy street style dogfighters with a couple of fat pooches he thought was tough. Benn never did go to Australia that interview was about 4 years ago he lives in Mallorca.....one of the greatest displays of gameness you could ever see from 2 fighters that night.

Age might be against him but he hasnt got a lot of miles on the clock.....just depends what sort of condition he can get himself in a long layoff like that often you just cant get back to 100%...........good luck to him though he,s paid his dues and is entitled to carry on making a living at what hes good at i wish him every success....whether he gets it or not is another thing.

So its taken them 20 years to work out that punishing the person holding the gun rather than just throwing the gun away is probably a more sensible approach !! And these are supposedly intelligent people.
