  1. So its not just me then ! The first few folk i started tagging along with it was like the blind leading the blind....be interested to see the replies you get anyway
  2. What language was that they was talking .....must admit there getting a bit daft now all the coverage these silly vidoes are getting......people whipping their phone out every time they hear a crossed word.....what sort of soft twat would sit their doing a video of a random stranger having an argument in a public place
  3. Im of the opinion theres no real need for coats on dogs in our climate....not if you keep the feedpan right......a well known dogman who a few others on here know used to keep a yard of 50+ short coated bull breed dogs in Canada where much of the year temperatures reaching anything up to -40......these were dogs kept in normal drums on a chain set up....he never lost 1 single dog to the cold.........if you dont change your dogs diet from what he has all year round and keep him peaked out with very low bodyfat in an outdoor kennel, then i can possibly see the benefit....but very few people keep
  4. Internet stalkers you can handle......its when they start peeping over your garden fence you need to worry !....theres some f****n oddballs out there.
  5. So nobody was injured........and he had just about as much mitigating circumstances as you could possibly have.......and still gets 3 years Shouldnt have got a day !
  6. Must be 20 years since i spoke to Henry he was an odd sort of character from what i remember real shy and quiet could barely get more than 3 words out of him.....good fighter though and fought some good names. As regards Fury,s father i think im right in saying he only had a handful of fights, without being disrespectful he was never anything more than a journeyman ( which theres nothing wrong with ).....so 6 weeks notice is an absolute luxury !....top level fighters peak themself for a fight date, journeymen and " opponent " type fighters generally keep themself in good nick all year round so

He got done in the first round that night he was the only Englishman on the card i was telling my dutch pals how the big Brit was going to bash up the Dutch boy......ooops I didnt know anything about Freeman and still dont to be honest i know he beat Frank Mir in London when Mir was young
  8. Theres no boxer alive who is as good as he thinks he is I wasnt aware Hodgkinson ever fought outside Britain but i might be wrong i know he had a couple of fights with Villasana both were in Britain infact im almost 100% sure Tyson Furys father fought on that card i only remember it because they was lining him up to fight Henry Aki and a few of us went up to do a bit of a spying mission....as it turned out Henry knocked him out a few months later in the first or second round.....anyway ive drifted way off the topic now

Overfinch is a Range Rover ....but i get what your saying...........Overeem i think the chaps name is.....must admit i dont know much about him i remember his brother Valentine i was over in Holland when he beat Ian Freeman it was one of the first mma events i ever went to....dont know what ever happened to him he beat Randy Couture as well if i remember right.
  12. He was good enough at what he did to mix it in top company theres no doubt about that......all i meant was if he had worked as hard on his boxing career as he did on his public image and getting people on his side who knows how his career might have panned out.

Ive always liked Frank Mir he,s a class act....as Simoman says i wouldnt imagine he has bags of heart and is probably like a dog with only enough gameness for as long as his wind will allow........but the way he maintained complete concentration and focus while virtually out on his feet to get that submission is testament to his ability......most folk would be covering up defending yet Mirs defence IS his attack which makes him an exciting fighter.
  14. Managed ........its professional boxing mate not amateur......show me a fighter who wasnt managed to a world title.....pro boxing is a business, you get in make your money and get out......thats if your lucky.........whatever is in your favour of making top money you use, look at Ricky Hatton as an example of that he had the whole nation going with that boy next door im just one of the lads bollocks.......he became one of the wealthiest fighters this country has ever produced yet easily lost the 2 biggest fights of his career......good luck to him he played the public and was well advised......
  15. All the best on your birthday sir
  16. I believe you cant make fair judgement on an athlete when you look past the reason you know their name..................similar to how you hear folk making judgement about Wayne Rooney or John Terry based on things nothing to do with football. For me one of the beauties of sport is the way it does not and cannot bow down to the pressures that other walks of life suffer with......if your good enough it dont matter what colour you are multiculturalism dont exist in sport !
  17. .....who said anything about class......i said he is one of the most exciting fighters out there which he is.......virtually every fight he has is an exciting fight......very often the best fighters dont compete in the best fights Mayweather/Klitchko being perfect examples......when a fighter has flaws to his game like Khan does it makes for an exciting fight. I think you know the game a little bit better than to believe a fighter can become a world champion without being a very good fighter
  18. are you sure you watched the right fight !...........it was possibly the fight of the year so far.......love him or hate him Khan is one of the most exciting fighters out there. http://queensberry-rules.com/2011-articles/december/washington-dc-hosts-a-fight-of-the-year-candidate-as-lamont-peterson-upsets-amir-khan.html
  19. I meant in a financial way not in a popularity contest kind of way..........its the same as David Haye......the sport in general worldwide really wanted Haye to become a superstar of the sport.....again,a big money attraction,a good looking athlete, exciting fighter..............British fight fans dont come into it as we make up a tiny percentage of world boxing fans....besides which we are a strange funny bunch when it comes to backing our athletes anyway that doesnt stop some of our fighters being big money attractions !.........Why do you think the Klitchkos are desperate to get Haye back ou
  20. One thing you simply cannot do when it comes to charity and making folk aware etc...........is bully folk or try to put people on guilt trips..........fundraising/charity is a very personal thing..........i have every sympathy for homeless soldiers, but i put children in need of help before grown men any day of any week and always will.......i dont hold the value of an ex soldiers life above anybody elses........at least these boys have had an adult life........theres a lot of kids out there who never experience that luxury. Each to their own.......but you cant get on peoples cases just becaus
  21. He became a world champion....that IS that level......the sport is constantly crying out for superstars....Khan is a very exciting fighter, has a good look about him,a big ticket seller........he has everything needed to be a superstar of the sport............look at the powers of the sport worldwide, people like Delahoya they will have been praying Khan won last night...........Paquiao has lost and drawn fights but has proved to be a superstar of the sport through longevity....something Khan hasnt yet.......but the big fights will come for Khan thats a fact.
  22.    faster hands a lot less milage and a lot bigger. neither would win,but khan would give mayweather trouble, pac wouldn't. imo We was only saying that this morning....i totally agree with you Blan.......Paquiao is made for Mayweather stylistically......if Khan came out with no respect for Mayweather and did his old windmill style attacks he has a chance of getting him out early........i dont think he would or could beat Mayweather....but neither could Paquiao.........in my opinion.
  23. I had Khan winning by 2 points less the 2 points he had taken off but you cant argue too much when its close like that......this loss wont do him any harm at all he,s not like some of the recent Brits who will only take a fight he,s a dead cert to win or frightened to travel and fight opponents in their back yard.....he,s still got plenty of years ahead he can come again......A friend of mine pointed out to me how Khan cannot fight on the inside and he,s exactly right, thats why Khan was getting points docked because rather than fight his way out he either pulls down on the back of the neck or
  24. Like everything theres different levels.....i wasnt born into it i never saw a field or tree till i was an adult .....i do remember a " family friend " type person taking me and my brother out to Epping Forest to catch a rabbit when i was young....i think i cried ....but the experience stayed with me until near 35 years later when i moved out to a country type area and having had another type of dog for years i got in with a few of the locals who took me out hunting......and that was it......im the first to admit im no hardcore hunter like some of the folks on here it is just that for me....
