Ive been through a few pairs of them le chamaeu mouflon gore tex jobs...decent boots but seem to hold a lot of mud and shit to the bottom so the boot ends up weighing a ton and its like your on water skis after a while....Meindl do one thats specifically for hills but its only ankle high i prefer the calf length ones.....not sure about them spike gadgets you put over your foot i reckon youd be forever putting them back on.....im even wondering about a full blown rugby boot

Cushions the face .....and i just dont see how more aggression equates to a better fighter at all......boxing is the art of controlled aggression, too much of it is just as bad as not enough.....and as regards " would be more inclined to fight "....i go back to the Julian Clarey thing again. We,ll just agree we dont agree mate

The hgh argument has been raging years....strictly speaking its not a steroid ....a steroid is defined as several fat soluble organic compounds .....whereas hgh is a chemical hormone consisting of carbon atoms, nitrogen atoms, hydrogen atoms, oxygen atoms and all this other bollocks.....like test its still extremely anabolic but strengthens tendons and tissue wheras test strengthens skeletal muscle ( androgen receptors ) For want of a better explannation and keeping things simple.....hgh is marijuana and steroids is heroin ............performance enhancer yes, steroid no.

Ive just read my last reply back mate and it dont look good,id like to offer my apologies for the comments about being on the dole etc.....who am i to judge any man....i was being a prick and im sorry about that. However saying steroids make you more aggressive meaning you become a better fighter......and saying steroids make your jaw stronger meaning you can take a better punch.....is just silly.....its a subject way too deep to get into from a keyboard, but the science of steroids is something i didnt jump into without a lot of research, study and questions and like most things with greater t

Anyone know if theres any such thing as a studded type of boot, kind of like a football/rugby boot on the bottom.....i regularly walk a piece of land thats downhill and am sick of slipping arse over tit i just wondered if theres any that have that type of grip ?

yep Henry Armstrong,s another one....not sure what year that was though

Whats so strange about 2 British heavyweights fighting in Britain ....Hopkins was the big name thats just how it is when a world champion protects an unbeaten record not stepping outside Britain.......i have no argument about Froch i think Joe probably would have beaten him.....but as a champion you take on allcomers, and Calzaghe was very clever about the way he did that. Theres no myth about it....Calzaghe told Hopkins and Jones jnr they would have to go to Wales to fight him,but then went to America anyway when they were old, thats not myth its a fact......there will always be question mark
-
ah well he must have been irish Barney Ross was in the 30,s......i forget what the order was but Bob Fitzimmons was definately the first.....middle/light heavy and heavy..................at a guess around 1905
-
It wasnt Wilfred Benitez mate....he was probably the youngest but he wasnt the first...........Bob Fitzimmons won the middle, light heavy and heavyweight titles in the early 1900,s
-
Absolutely..............and to tell one of the biggest names in the sport Bernard Hopkins if he wants to fight he has to go to little old Wales rather than have it take place in the boxing capital of the world...........only to years later go to the boxing capital of the world anyway to fight the very same man now aged 43....dont fool anyone..
-
Id say the first one might be Georges Carpentier....he went up through the weights from about welter or maybe belowall the way up to heavyweight...... Second ones Bob Fitzimmons....i think.
-
Different Lewis mate Best ever is.......well...ever !....You claimed Calzaghe was best Brit ever.
-
Its one thing to fight a few fighters on the slide....but another thing when near every big name on your record is on the slide..... Best ever....thats a bold statement but your entitled to your opinion.....personally id put Jimmy Wilde,Ted kid Lewis,Randy Turpin,Ken Buchanan,Bob Fitzimmons,Driscoll and probably a few others up there alongside if not infront...........simply because they didnt fear losing a fight or an unbeaten record and tested themself to the limit of their ability.....i dont think Calzaghe was ever fully tested to his limit......not saying im right and you boys are wrong,j
-
Brookie take a look at some of his record mate.....and try saying hand on heart he fought the best fighters out there in their prime ??? Im not knocking him as a fighter,he may have beaten Benn he may not its a 50/50 fight for me.............i just think it was a tragic shame for boxing and British boxing fans he valued his unbeaten record so much more than he valued proving he was the best boxer in the world....................in all honesty i possibly hold a tiny grudge against him if truth be told,i never forgot what he said about the Benn/Eubank/Watson wars when he said " i would never ta

I used to say the same thing your saying mate.....till a few years back when it was pointed out to me Calzaghes actual fight record.....it astounded me so much i wrote it down ! These are all of the " notable " opponents he boxed. Roy Jones aged 39 Bernard Hopkins aged 43 Byron Mitchell aged 30 Charles Brewer aged 33 Richie Woodhall aged 33 ( last fight of his career ) Chris Eubank aged 32 ( second last fight of his career ) Those are the " big name " fighters he fought..... Then you have defenses against unheard of fighters on a world scale such as.... Evans Ashira aged 36 Mario

He is yes,i watched him as a kid he boxed for the local club Waltham Forest then moved to Repton he,s a good prospect hasnt got out the first round yet as a pro....i watched him spar Billy Joe Saunders a few months back and it would be fair to say there was nothing between them though Frank had some size on him admittedly ....He,s being trained by Jimmy Tibbs son Mark who in my opinion will prove to be one of the top trainers in the country over the coming years so the kid has every chance
-
Wasnt being bitchy just saying what i thought....naturally id favour him being a West Ham boy but i genuinely think its a 50/50 fight both at their best.....trouble is Calzaghe wouldnt fight dangerous opponents at their best so all nil and void
-
Saucer of milk whats all that about. Macarenelli looked ok the other night but i fear for him to be honest as do a lot of folk within the sport...............once too many times to the well,i hope his love of the game doesnt cost him in the end he,s had some bad knockouts recently id like to see him hang the gloves up....but its never an easy thing to do.
-
Im inclined to agree as regards Calzaghe v either Eubank or Collins......Eubank was the kind of fighter who liked to take rests during rounds and struggled when the fight wasnt fought at his pace,Calzaghes biggest quality was his workrate,he could fight 3 minutes of every round at a hard pace so for me Calzaghe would beat Eubank 9 out of 10 times, probably clearer than he did beat him as his style changed over the years......I dont think he would have knocked him out as Eubank had a chin of granite and Joe wasnt known for his punch power.....Collins i dont think would have been able to surprise

Bought my mrs one of these she didnt like it at all.....ungrateful bitch !.....reckons it doesnt have the " feel " or " smell " of a good traditional paperback book ....but then she always was a bit scatty.....didnt stop moaning about it when we was on holiday in the summer either about the way the light/sun reflects off it when your outdoors

Its a Discus tank mate not marine
-
What Nigel Benn didnt go through his share of " mexican roadsweepers " as he used to call them.................learning on the job is part of the game mate, every fighter has done it.......even back in the good ol days
-
I could get super duper scientific with you now and come out with a big bunch of researched evidence and common sense theory based on succesful experience..........but i think it would be wasted on you.....arent you the same wind up merchant who was giving off about how people who go to work are mugs and should sit on their arse collecting dole cheques like you do..........some folk are worthy of debating subjects with.....and some are not

Absolutely hilarious !...............what the f**k has a big jaw got to do with getting a dig on the chin....wait dont tell me.......people with big heads take a better punch than people with small heads .....................and more aggression makes for a better fighter does it.............christ almighty no wonder theres such a stigma attached to the use of steroids...... Steroids have there place in bodybuilding......unfortunately 75 % of people using them have no real idea what they are doing and the remaining 25 % of people who do know have to suffer for it !

Maybe im being cynical......but is there a chance the poor f****r was simply waiting to be fed
