Without meaning it to sound like im looking down my bugle...............my training routines have never stood still long enough to remember them in detail..........as should anybodys seriously into their lifting .................infact i dont think ive ever had the same routine for more than a few months so im f****d if i could remember 1 months training from 15 years ago !!

The theory is correct.....basic heavy compounds........for beginners less is more ..........the old Mike Mentzer principals are still in use today and a philosophy i very much agree with.

I think it might just be how YOU view it Max...............the fact the Sunderland crowd booed their players off at half time is evidence enough You was playing a side that only attacks in the first 10 minutes of each half.....if in that time we score we spend the other 70 minutes of the game hanging onto it !!............Like i say its not my cup of tea but it can be effective especially against a side as poor as Sunderland were for most of the game last night.

No was i f**k !......had something important to do this morning......if it had been a saturday id of been all over it but a Monday night was never going to help the away side......so all things considered it was a good result. Got to say i fear for your lot now when you was down our place earlier in the year i thought Sunderland were a decent side and couldnt see them going down...............but i thought they was awful for 70 minutes till they scored last night.

Where this new found rivalry with Sunderland has come from i dont know ...id never given them a second thought till Max piped up as a die hard fan ( this season ) But keeping it relevant to our life times..........in the last 50 years West Ham have won 3 x Fa Cup,1 x European Cup Winners Cup,1 x Intertoto Cup..........Sunderland have won 1 x Fa Cup.

The players Sam has brought in are not good enough to play that style of football no..........but that is not the style that The Acadamy of Football encourages...........an academy that has produced many of the countries top players remember I dont have an issue with Sam....he is what he is and any club he manages has to accept thats how he plays...........you wouldnt expect Roy Keane to have the flair of Ryan Giggs you just appreciate what he is good at.........same with Allardyce he,s not my cup of tea but he has done what he,s good at and done it pretty well. People often say they train like they did years ago but the results are not the same........thats just life our bodies react differently the older we get,the key is the same as anything else.....the basic theory still applies we just need to make subtle changes in our approach its like a bodybuilder when he reaches a plateau you cant just stand still and ride it out you have to make small changes that push the muscles into further growth........hence knowledge is a big part in bodybuilding. Hard gaining for an old hand is completely different for hard ganining as a newcomer/youngster......con

Just shows as much as we think we know.......nature always knows best.....................i often wonder what happens to these racing pigeons that dont return home whether they survive off their wits or just succumb.....i wouldnt imagine they last long. -

Fascinating stuff.....i wonder then how many generations of captive breeding it takes a wild bird species to lose its........wildness....for want of a better phrase. Sounds like the bird had a lucky reprieve there Fireman......interesting little story though. -

Denny Mancini you mean yes he died a few years back,Duff was the last of that generation he was dealing with the massive names of the sport in England people like Jarvis Astaire,Levene,Terry Lawless,Ernie Fossey.....all gone now.... these men paved the way for people like Frank Warren,Hearn etc to get British fighters top money on par with the yanks.....they were the driving force in the game in Britain it was their wisdom and guile that got the money flowing for British fighters..... Duff had great vision he could see fights before they were even thought of he got the timing for his fighters

It was always going to be a battle of the sons and Franks boy just hasnt got it in my opinion......slick Eddie on the other hand was born for it..........still be a long time before we ever see someone do as much for young British fighters as Warren did though.
