Thats the trouble when comparing opponents whos to say Foreman/Frazier/Shavers etc etc would of fought Marciano in the same manner they fought Ali.....on basic fundamentals Ali took Foremans best theres nothing to suggest he couldnt take a 30 lb lighter Marcianos best.....the hardest thing to judge with Clay/Ali is theres no prime to judge him on do you judge him on Clay ( before his prime ) or Ali ( after his prime ) because they were both very different fighters......dont forget Marciano fought his biggest names Louis,Charles,Walcott when they was all well past their prime and was getting ea

Most small bird are notoriously difficult to do, one of the reasons is their very thin skins that will tear just looking at them. It usually takes a small bird specialist who does them regularly. TC Oh ok gotcha........makes sense I suppose.

Ive never really understood what reason there could have ever been to think Marciano would of troubled Ali every advantage both physical and mental a fighter could have Ali had over Marciano from 30 lb in weight to 5 or 6 inches height probably 10 inches reach,speed of hand and foot,movement......probably the only quality they really stack up close for is durability and punch resistance but would Marciano of got near him....personally i think Ali would of peppered him and forced a stoppage but everyone sees fights different.

My ol fella was the same just wanted Ali to get sparked......with the weight difference and straight ahead style Marciano had i think Ali would of played with him but its always interesting topics of conversation......particularly from that older generation i think once you get into your 40,s and 50,s you have to keep the old nostalgia in check or it can run away with you ....but a lot of those real old boys only remember what a fighter did in the ring and havent been influenced by what fighters do outside the ring which is what makes them interesting to listen to i think.

I dont think its necessarily a case of playing for each other i just see them in a similar way to what we saw with Leicester they just seem to want it that bit more.......they play with a fantastic energy and desire i just hope that doesnt change in the semi final and they become too tactical.......at the moment they are getting after teams chasing them down and really enjoying their macthes i hope they dont sit off of Portugal...........again same as Leicester if they stay true to their own game and dont change it for anyone they could pull off a major upset here.fair point but take the team

Well i dont know Rooney ( maybe you do in which case fair enough ) but he strikes me as a shy type in interviews......and why shouldnt he be......yes people like Ali/Bobby Moore etc etc were exceptions to the rule and carried themselves very well but come on it shouldnt really matter should it ?.....we all look back with fondness on a time when football was a way of life for the working classes instead of a luxury few people can afford......yet here we are now expecting those working class lads to be upstanding,highly principalled and articulate young citizens its football not the opera we sho

It all depends whether your a glass half full or glass half empty type......is Joshua pretty ordinary compared to 2 year pros of previous eras ?......i have to be honest i dont really know yet........and theres nothing wrong with not knowing yet its what sport is about....proving truth.

Folk have heard haye fought at cruiser and assume that's where he belongs. Haye is by no means small he's bigger than derek chisora who has never been questioned as a heavyweight. Just because he's not as big as some of the freaks of today's game doesn't mean he's no heavyweight. As you say bird he can easily punch just as hard as any other heavyweight You are right in theory but in actual flesh and bone physical body type Chisora is a far bigger man than Haye.......take away the gym and good nourishment and Haye go,s down to a relatively slim frame whereas Chisora stays a thick set bullish
