  1. Well i cant really say much as im usually guilty ? ? ? I just think a lot of the publics thoughts on this case are clouded by class barriers....i mean i dont remember any public outrage towards the parents of little April Jones,Sarah Payne or the 2 girls wearing the Man Utd shirts i forget their names now....well why ? no kid gets abducted when their parents are paying attention to them,i guess a good case to compare to is the little Ben kid who got took from a Greek Island,he was literally a baby....nobody said any of them were waste of space parents maybe us working class folk think mid
  2. He,s playing a risky game at the moment part of me hopes he gets knocked out in the first round it may be the only way he comes out of the fight game intact unfortunately.Camacho that is.
  3. Probably the most impressive thing about Hagler was his mindset.....ridiculously dedicated, never out of shape....just had an iron will everything about him was strong. Even the way he retired was strong he had that controversial fight with Leonard and said " f**k this im gone see ya later ".....and you never saw him again.
  4. Thats a good shout that is they had a couple of good fights as i remember....Dennis could have been such a good fighter if he had a little bit more upstairs.....such a tough durable guy but found athletic movement difficult to master....sad story really he done all his dough and works as a security guard at Albany Place now.....like i say he was never too bright.
  5. Stan is right you,ll see great fights in any era,ive seen undercard fights over the York Hall to top Ali v Frazier but they were exactly that, undercard fights.....its very rare for an iconic match up between fighters who define an era to live up to the billing and thats what made Hagler v Hearns probably the greatest fight in history for me they had all the class and ability in the world but after the very first left hook Hearns hit Hagler with after 3 seconds they both said " f**k it then lets have it ".....its so rare for 2 highly skilled fighters with so much on the line to have a shoot out
  6. Joshua is fighting the highest ranked opponent available to him.....and why would he fight in America when the Uk is where the moneys been. Fury is the only fighter out there who for some bizarre reason doesnt have to fight contenders he either gets a road sweeper or gets a championship fight.....wheres the mid - upper level opponents and unifications that get you into position to fight for a title he,s never fought one.
  7. Thats pretty standard.....all clubs give their fans a list of designated " away " pubs to stop any kind of trouble.
  8. How is it any different to Wembley ? New football stadia is not built for the satisfaction of fans its built for the satisfaction of club owners.
  9. Couldnt agree more.....local non league football is where its at for me nowadays....i still get over the Hammers regular out of loyalty but my hope and aspirations have shifted.....i went to the England game last night and saw so many scarves of clubs like Wealdstone,Torquay,Dulwich Hamlet....proper football fans and having the banter about real football issues not silly dreams.
  10. I totally agree, the whole football experience is about more than just what happens on the pitch its about the community young and old, boys watching and learning how to communicate as men and togetherness on your own patch that stays with you on away trips.....put simpy, traditions. Wilf did you know both The Denmark Arms and Nathans Pie Shop have both closed down since the move.....2 iconic landmarks gone due to the knock on effect of moving grounds.
  11. I cant stand the new ground,i would go as far as to say its changed my entire football experience for the worse and for me the club will never be the same. But as a facility it is second to none and ranks up alongside any other modern sports arena like the Etihad,Emirates the new Wembley....none of them are enjoyable places to watch football.....most West Ham fans never wanted the move but the few who did wanted progress,i didnt particularly as i knew what would come with progress....and as i now say to people......" I used to be a West Ham fan......now i am a West Ham customer "
  12. You surprise me you do Wilf i always had you down as a smart guy. Having a sensible conversation about whether Sunderland being a massive football club is a real phenomenon is like having a sensible conversation about whether gender fluid non binary whatever its called is a real phenomenon......you dont take them serious you just smile and move on.
  13. Good night of boxing at the Copperbox saturday night little Charlie Edwards shouldnt have too much trouble...looking forward to seeing Buatsi again, and the big one for me a local dust up between Okolie and Wadi Camacho he,s a smashing lad Wadi who never quite fulfilled his early potential and now starting to show signs of getting punchy if he,s going to get beat i hope its early on but he,s a gutsy lad and will give it a go id love him to pull it off but cant see it.
  14. Never mind camels its horses trying to be flogged on this thread......dead ones !
  15. What like the dna that was " similar " you mean ? Not co operating with an incompetent unprofessional police force that f****d it from the off id say was common sense....personally i think if that case had been investigated by British plod from day 1 it would of been solved.
  16. One of my favourite eras was the mid 80,s lightweight division there was some brilliant fights Mancini v Frias,Mancini v Bramble, virtually every Bobby Chacon fight. Pryor v Arguello,Foreman v Lyle,Gatti v Ward 1 and of course Hagler v Hearns
  17. Absolutely mate even the wife didnt react as quick as the Hammers so at least it justifies making them priority now ?
  18. No i get it....i have to be honest i liked the championship it was enjoyable....i cant say as ive ever enjoyed being in the third tier though i have no experience of it as my clubs never been that low ?
  19. Absolutely bang on ive been saying that for years, force dogs and cats to live together and dont be surprised when carnage breaks out....force an intelligent species like rival human beings to live together and dont be surprised when it creates an environment where lone wolf terrorist attacks become inevitable. Besides which,do close knit groups not perform better on their own anyway ?.....one example being a subject of common interest like football whereby a small nation of 4 million people such as Croatia reached the final of the world cup beating far higher populated nations who could f
  20. You make some good points Chris im about at my limit with this conversation educationally ?....so thanks for running through it. I dont think its a coincidence that the lowest figures of unemployment in Europe are countries that immigrants tend not to go and thats why i feel we should not allow ourselves to be dragged down to their level i dont understand why third world shitholes are not responsible for anything they choose to do its like they are free of any consequences or responsibility for anything in life....as though everything is the Wests fault because the third world is too weak
  21. Cant knock the Hammers mate loyal till the last .
  22. ?? Ive never been the type to mock the misfortunes of others but f**k me some people just ask for it ??
  23. Talking of great managers.... thought id just share this letter i received at a bit of a shit time a few years ago....ive showed everyone else in the country so why not ?
  24. Theres a big difference between no commenting to save your skin and no commenting because the people asking you the questions are out to get you in order to save their own skin....i would think at the stage the investigation was at they had already answered most of the questions months before and no commented on advice from their brief, pretty standard form id imagine.
