  1. It was only that i had a long time with nothing to do that i learned it,before that i had always scoffed at it as old womens stuff.....i used to be a gym owner and wouldnt of had it anywhere near my gym but now folk can come into one of the top boxing gyms in London on a Thursday and Friday for a Yoga session its a great benefit to fighters, bodybuilders or anyone i find it helps reset your momentum and sharpen your senses as well as the suppleness aspect.
  2. Oh i didnt see this cheers King....most of the shit ive learned about the body has come from just swapping thoughts and ideas amongst others but when you hear a proper doctor like this coming out with stuff it lets you know just how little you really know ?....certainly knows his onions.
  3. The 3 i can do for reps....the 3.5 i can just about close.....the 4 i cant even move.....they say you have to be able to hold a credit card in it for 5 seconds to count as done. Im bang into Yoga these days, all you lads lifting away should try it an old boy taught me a couple of years ago and ive never felt as supple....feeling strong is great but you need a body that can serve you in every day life which at times mine wasnt....we all have to make adjustments i suppose.
  4. Well i was alive but far too young to remember it......we didnt have a telly but my brother later told me it was a blinding atmosphere on the radio ?
  5. How does this young chap look to those folk who know what they,re looking at....hard to tell a dogs worth from a picture granted but he,s become available and im giving it some serious thought, smashing natured dog as well.
  6. Come on then Max i,ll keep you going a little longer....lifes quiet at the moment ? The sooner you realise that football fans are tribal the sooner you will understand that people are just not interested in looking at Sunderland clips on Youtube ? Personally i couldnt give a shit what Sunderland did at Trafalgar Square i have no interest in the club and neither does anybody who doesnt support Sunderland. Im sorry but Sunderland are a forgotten club as are the likes of Preston North End,Huddersfield,Wolves etc yes they were once succesful clubs as were Sunderland i get it....but
  7. My hands are not particularly strong mate ive had so many broken bones and operations on my hands that im not sure i could do that.....id quite fancy my chances on a pot noodle though ?.....saying that though i used to be able to close a number 3 C of C if you know what they are, havent used them for a while though.....besides which, gym strength and day to day natural strength are often very different things i dont kid myself.

    Sciatica

Prevention is better than cure but we're all guilty of it theres loads of exercises to do but when it go,s we are in too much pain to do them ?.....then when its better we forget about it again.

    Sciatica

The discs sit in a fluid ( i forget what its called ) that acts like the oil in a shock absorber.....so when dry they dont provide the same cushion effect.....like a shock absorber........so yes being dehydrated is no good for any kind of degeneration to discs.....which often accompanies sciatica.
  10. I probably worded that wrongly i didnt even really mean age in terms of how many birthdays you,ve had i meant more in terms of inactivity....as in older chaps who have been inactive will not respond in the same way as older chaps who have pushed their bodies for many years.....up until a few months back i was somewhat out of action ? for a year and a half and eating absolute crap but still didnt really lose that much, you dont see many retired fighters or footballers who are out of shape simply because your body adapts to the workload over years... ive known a lot of chaps in gyms reach a certa
  11. Oh bloody hell 40,s alright i had you down as erm.......well a bit older than that ?....i dont know why. No you crack on mate good for you,men tend not to reach their peak of physical strength till their mid to late 30,s anyway.......just spend some time understanding how it all works, how your body works and responds, how machines work, lifting form and technique etc.....then if its still holding your interest start researching training regimes etc LIfting weights on an empty stomach is horrible you just feel weak and 20% down on your best lifts you cant expect your body to perform
  12. Without wishing to sound unkind or impolite what sort of age are you Katchum and what levels of activity have you been used to......without doubt ANY exercise is going to be beneficial but if you are hoping to pack a bit of muscle on then dont be surprised if you cant.....as we age,the way our body responds to stress changes due to the subject of this topic " testosterone "....ive seen older chaps myself included who still have high test levels naturally simply because our bodies are so used to adapting to the stress of hard physical activity. Even through long periods without exercise a
  13. If you are using gel on its own then dont be surprised if your levels actually go down.....it can con your body into thinking well ok its coming from somewhere so my body doesnt need to produce it itself and your body can actually PRODUCE less....yes you may feel better for a while but the reason you have to apply it every day is because it works off your metabolism and your levels quickly go back down....and like i say, quite often they will go down to lower than what they started at.....gels are really not comparable to injectable for consistently higher levels.
  14. What a bizarre post i cant quite work out if your serious........is that you Max ?
  15. No Rusty dont fall for it son....you already support a big club.... you dont need to desperately plead and beg people to take some notice of your club like fans of clubs long forgotten about have to do.
  16. The day you tell the truth about football.......will be the day you tell the truth about football !
  17. Does the atmosphere at football get better and better the louder you turn your volume up ?.....atmosphere at football has gone through the roof since HD ?
  18. ??? It was a great atmosphere on Match of the Day the other night ! Ask a 7 year old at his first game if the atmosphere is any different to watching on telly see what he says.
  19. Its ok im familiar with that tactic ?.....say something so ridiculous that it doesnt get you into a serious debate . Weak....very weak.
  20. " Blackheath Village is also really nice " ?? How can it be its close to Lewisham !
  21. Oh shit hang about i didnt realise you was Scottish Rusty.............................actually no thinking about it Wilf is probably right South London is much nicer than East London you will have a much better time there ?
  22. You was told the figures yesterday why ignore them you being one for FACTS and all.
  23. Im not sure he says anything we dont already know but certainly puts it in a clear and concise way.....i have one or two of my own non scientific theories regarding evolution in sport but i wont spoil your topic with my mad ramblings ?....thanks for posting that mate, interesting ?
  24. Working out/lifting weights.....will all help your test levels anyway regardless of test boosters. Vit D promotes pituitary gland function which is often another cause of low test, low sex drive etc.....i certainly wouldnt recommend jumping from straight into test boosters without first trying natural means such as exercise/weight training....higher protein intake/higher carb and healthy fats, maybe a bit of ginger extract......lose the beer/drugs as much as possible and try to live a stress free life.....if you havent had a noticeable improvement within 6 months look at boosters.
  25. Theres some lovely restaurants on Canary Wharf.....The Boisdale or Goodmans if you like a steak, little bit pricey but normal every day grub you havent even got to step outside the 02 itself....Canary Wharf is like a ghost town of a weekend although the Museum of London Docklands is an interesting little place and its free or the roof garden at Crosswell Place can throw you a bit......its not a night spot though you,ll be better off finding some rowdy South London ghetto if you want to go on the piss.
