  1. i had a bitch done the same thing a couple of times she even went blind for a couple of days even though she got the same work out as the other dogs she could not handle the same amount of work as them so i worked more on her fitness and when i had her out i would give her the odd biscuit in between runs to try and keep her blood sugar up and if i knew she was going lamping that evening i would feed her that afternone ,she never done it again but i was always causess when i had her out and made sure she had a good break between runs, hope she recovers well for ye and try and get some fluids in
  2. I have seen it happen once while out hare coursing one day a good bitch about to make a strike and bang she drooped and then this big horse of a man came running over and was willing to do the other two dogs that were still on the slip and after a heated argument and a lot off threads we left the land 'then we only ever went back once more but not for a hunt but i will say no more on that

  6. Cracking pups and set up mate i'd like my runs done like that but i'd say my dogs would eat through them in a week
  7. is there any way you can get the ip address of who put the adds up no gum tree and if you can ask the mods on here to see if they are are member on this site then people might know who done it
  8. if your terrier is an adult and if it has any game in it at all i would not bother trying to work it with ferrets ,if you want a dog for ferreting get a lurcher or a whippet
  9. Bast@rds should be hung by their bollox were you out at the time because to get 10 dogs out must of made some racket ecspeicliy hounds
  10. No bother Martin i wasn't being smart in my first post but ye know how things go and i do appreciate the breeding behind Ernie so no hard feeling ,and the baby is called Conor meaning lover of in hounds in gaelic and the best of luck to you in the future
  11. Shane i was not bothered about who won the racing on saturday but how this came about was when Martin asked on another tread if Ernie was qualified for the 32 counties whippet racing and i answered him with a no should of raced him in the under 23" racing but as i said on the 1st reply on this tread he started throwing insults about so i replied to them, but when these classes were first announced i asked if it was for unreg pure bred or non ped whippets and was told it was still for pure bred whippets that just had no papers and it was down to club to decide if it was a whippet or not and i r
  12. Perhaps our classification definition was not clear enough and/or you have inferred it meant something else but basically there were two race classifications 1. For KC Registered Whippets and 2 Unregistered whippets to include unregistered dogs and non pedigree. By simple definition a non KC registered whippet does not necessarily have a traceable pedigree. The organising club and I were quite clear about what we meant and that is why we felt Martin who raced without objection on the day was entitled to his prize. Albert thats not fair on the people that have unreg whippets that maybe couldn
  13. but when these classes were put forward for Birr it stated that there would be a class for pure bred whippets with papers and a class for pure bred whippets without papers and your dog is neither. the likes of rose is having a bad effect on racing in general she done it in south armargh it was there first show and she ruined it when she took over the racing knowing what to race her dogs against UNDER 23' ROSE 1 2 3 4 the likes of her and a few others should not be allowed to race there dogs Her dogs do well in their own classes so as far as im concerned fair doe's to her why shouldn'
  14. Albert I found no problem on the day of the racing but i did not look over the dogs that were racing and i had no problem with who won the unreg whippet racing until Martin posted Ernies breeding on another tread which clearly states he has a lot of greyhound in his breeding and i then only said he should have raced him in the under 23" and was leaving it at that until he started to throw insults about ,some people will race small lurchers against whippets either because they think they have a whippet or they are trying to pull the wool over people's eyes and pass them off as whippets but to c
  15. but when these classes were put forward for Birr it stated that there would be a class for pure bred whippets with papers and a class for pure bred whippets without papers and your dog is neither.
  16. i dont think so Martin my dogs would get as good if not better care than yours but as i already said im not into giving the KC money for sheets of paper i dont need
  17. your a nobody in my eyes only a cheat if your only in it for fun why did you not race against the dogs that were in Ernies class ,he is a good dog but he should have been against the dogs in his class ,there is a girl that has dogs bred the same way as Ernie more or less but she would not have the cheek to race them against whippets, not saying her name but you know who im talking about
  18. i bred 1 of them from and my friend bred the other 1 and why should i have them registered with the kc ,i dont agree with their policies and i only keep them for working a maybe a bit of showing and racing in the summer at working dog shows of have no interest in anything the kc have anything to do with
  19. sorry Martin but there is a big difference with non ped whippet and non reg whippets i have 2 non reg whippets but if i decided to pay the KC a fee to have them registered they would be registered whippets but you could not bring Ernies pedigree to the kc and have him registered he is basically a mongrel in the eyes of the kc
  20. there was no none ped whippet race it was a none reg whippet race Ernie should have been in the under 23" racing
  21. Ernie should not have been in that race that was meant to be for pure bred whippets with no papers
