    We were meant to head out about 9 but as it goes we didn't leave until about 10 ,my fault as usual had to wait for the chineese to ring for me to get the chicken they give me for the dogs,met Dublin Dessy on the way aswell and he followed in his car 'but when we left the rain was pelting down the wipers on my little vanette could barely handle it and im sure at one point the 4 wheels lifted off the road as we where heading up the motor way,but when we reached where we planed to lamp the rain had eased a bit(thank fcuk) but the breez was still blowing a gale ,we headed into the first field whe

    if you read the 1st post it was asked pre ban and i'm not too sure about the other spieces of deer but sika deer are in the rutt at the moment and it is the hunting season now

    yeah but would they have less energy to put up with a decent course from a dog,with them not eating as much and spend time fighting and chasing after hinds,making them an easier target for a dog

    All is it is a bit of manners lad. Put on or not - farmer didn't know you were there and didn't know you. You never made any attempt to sort that beforehand. Does your mammy know how she raised you? It's bad form - end of. Your talking shite if you were serious about lamping and wanted to get out as much as you can with ruining good lamping spots depending on only places were you have permission who would hardly ever get out ,most lads out lamping dont cause any harm but you must think different Mr perfect

    Where stags easier or where they more aggressive during the rutt for dogs (pre ban)i know you will find stags out and about more during the rutt but with them putting all their energy into fighting other stags and chasing hinds where they easier for dogs to take or where they more willing to put up a fight

    just make sure the bitch has a nice comfortable place to pup and coming to the birth don't over feed her ,it will only make the pups bigger but when she has them feed her as much as she will eat ,i'm not a big fan of culling but in cases like this i would and maybe only leave her with 1 or 2 pups and the then bring the bitch to be spayed when she is ready and the lad won't have to deal with this problem again

    my wheaten xs are broke to stock but if they weren't and i put 1 in with a ram i would give it 10 seconds and there would be mutton on the menu

    Good thread boyo,has me thinking of my time out lamping lastnight ,i had 1 of my wheaten xs out with me and the lad that was with me had his young bull x bitch,now we were out to hunt whatever we came across but hoping for fox really but we were slipping on rabbits as we were moching about and the young bull x bitch was running them well and caught 4 through the night but my own bitch just seemed to have a bad night and didn't connect with any but recently i have not been hunting that many rabbits with her but most foxes she has been slipped on she has caught we didn't come across any last ni
