Hi mate i live in Shoeburyness i do a lot of my hunting with terrier and guns on my permission locally and during the season i follow the Essex Farmers and Union hunt who are a fine bunch of people where are you? perks mate there was no mag or ammo any where near it has not had a round through it yet taking it out in a bit to zero it in thanks for your concern though . Edited to say read your profile hotel, your in halstead nice bit of country up there.
  2. Hello lads just bought my first rimfire today a CZ .17 varmint 16" barrel been setting it up and i am taking it out tomorrow to zero it in to say i am chuffed is an understatement have used these guns belonging to a mate and there accuracy is unreal .

Hello lads thought i would give my opinion if used with subsonics the 12g investarm that i have is no louder than a airgun spring if you use any other cartridge it goes bang like any other 12 gauge, at any range over fifty yards its not very good, very underpowered in my opinion i think if i threw an handful of pellets it would have the same effect but for flushing purposes with my terrier its a handy little gun on the bunnys. Pigeons i have not really tried it as there is no rib on the gun it feels a bit odd.Heres a couple of pics

  6. Had a criminal damage conviction over 20 odd years ago did not mention it, when the firearms officer came round he told me every detail about it and told me nothing is spent concerning firearms my advice be honest and you should be ok i got mine no problem by the way .
  7. This is a great show that i look forward too, last year i think it clashed with the Essex and Suffolk hunt, terrier and lurcher show do you know if this is the case this year.

On my permission the other day with the dogs and i noticed two barley fields were being badly hit by the rooks and crows so had a word with a mate who has a crow caller went there a couple of days later set up about half a dozen decoys and placed the caller underneath one of them patience was the key 25 minutes of nothing then they started coming in they were speaking to the caller could not believe it got a few but that day was more of an education and i am going to have another go this weekend will post how i got on.   11. not sure sticking your hand in a cage to use that would be wise I agree if you are not used to handling live foxes you will get bitten.
  12. Have you considered one of these no FAC required http://www.brnoguns.co.uk/captive.htm just a thought and relatively cheap saying that though i have a hushpower 12g and used with subsonics very quiet indeed.

I make my own but my best one i have made is a recipe called christmas special ingredients are dark malt light malt malt crystals brown sugar white sugar and hops and about six months maturing it is blacker than guinness and has the effect of liquid heroin according to a friend of mine also make my own wines' trappiste is a favourite beer but foriegn.
  15. Have been lamping with my 12 bore single barrel hushpower gets rid of the noise problem when used with subsonic cartridges heres a pic of it not very good one will try and put a better one up.

  18. thats good to hear the one i've got has 75.000 X reg (2000) All i ever changed were clutches every 150,000 miles but i did service it every 6000 was quite sad when i sold it good luck with your one.
  19. Citroen C15 van was one of the most amazing vehicles i owned i done 362000 miles from new in one courier work, the motor i use for hunting is a modified SJ410 Hardtop this vehicle goes anywhere awesome.
  20. Get familar with what they smell like and your nose will lead you to a lot unmistakable smell .

Good mate of mine had two saluki grey crosses, on bunnies it became boring because it was too easy, on hares fantastic bit of coursing and a catch at the end of it, on foxes caught them no probs but would say they were a bit surprised when they bit back, they were two brothers from same litter one wanted to please all the time the other only when in the mood but when he was he was exceptional overall great cross .All pre ban of course
